Hi everybody my son who is nearly 8 months spits out lumpy food. he will eat it if ive blended it down but if i dont he gags and then spits. But he eats crisps, biscuits, chocolate and many other finger foods.

Hi my daughter is 11 months and she spits out lumpy food such as tinned spaghetti and sometimes chokes on crackers and finger food but she eats yogurt and custard well and sometimes the pureed vegies. i think its just a matter of waiting until they learn to cope with the consistancy of different foods. she is only 7 kilos because she is so bad with her solids. has he got good weight gain?

he might not like the lumps off a spoon. try mashed smooth but thick and just keep trying everything. good luck.

My friends son power puked after he ate and it was something to due with the reflux.
Have the dr check that.

It must just be a texture issue for him then. If he eats everything else I wouldn't worry about it, just try not to feed him lumpy food!
