My 2 yr old son is having a tonsilectomy next week. I am looking for some healthy alternatives to the ice cream and pudding. Thank you.

Purees if he'll eat them. Yogurt (not with fruit at the bottom, just vanilla or like Mountain High Strawberry), perhaps some shakes like Carnation Instant Breakfast or other smoothies, V8 (low-sodium), tomato soup or other creamy soups...

You can also make your own fruit-based popsicles which will be fresher and more nutrient-packed than store-bought.

I'm sure the recovery nurses and doctor will have other suggestions. Good luck and speedy recovery to your son!!
