I would make sure he is getting enough water and no soda's or anything of that type. Yellow pee usually means he is starting to dehydrate.

It may be worth a trip to the Dr with his age. Since its not really a good idea to give them to much water.

He is only 5 months old s up the amount of breast milk or formula. Do not give more then 2ozs of water to him, he is way too young to have it. I also wouldn't give juice. It could also be that it will be his normal color. If you have great concern take him to the Dr and ask for advice before giving extra water or juices. If you fele he's not getting enough you could give some pedialite to make sure his electrolytes stay up.

I would make sure there is an increase of water, maybe a glass or two of cranberry juice to clean out the kidney a little (just in case) If there is pain or a really strong odor I would take him to the Dr to check. Eating more orange veggies can make it turn more yellow then orange because of the betacarotine (SP?) Also holding it for long periods can make it turn darker too.

Change of diet? Need more water throughout the day? You only need to worry, as I understand, if the pee is orange or redish or if he complains of pain .....

They're the same as we are... an extra amount of vitamins (notice your pee is more yellow after you take your vitamins?), or a lack of fluids could do it (make sure he's drinking enough throughout the day).
