i had that too!!! it sounds crazy i know but i stood in the shower a really hot shower with my boobs under the water and i had my express pump on the boob with the blocked ducts...that would relieve it and then when my daughter was feeding i would massage the crap out of it towards her mouth...

Good luck!!!

Hot wash clothes on the area while nursing helped me. Good Luck!

This has happened to me a few times. what worked for me: warm compresses (before, during and after nursing), hot showers before nursing sessions to help let down, stay hydrated, circular massage in the area during hot showers and while nursing, nursing often and for long durations on that side, and tylenol when I just couldn't take the pain anymore. I try not to take meds ever, but sometimes it must be done. i also went braless day and night until the tenderness went away. i know it is a lot of the same, but this is what helped for me.

Massage and then more massage. When nursing/pumping put the sore side of the boob on top, to help it drain (ie. if the outside part of your left boob hurts, lay on your right side, if the inside part of your left boob hurts, lay on your left side) Hope it passes soon!

Basically what all the other moms' have said.....I got a few clogged ducts and they are very painful.....I used warm packs and constantly massaged the lump even when I was not pumping or feeding.....I would try to express some milk to releive the pressure...eventually one day you wake up and it is not clogged anymore :0 what a relief. So pump, warm compresses and massage

I know how painful that is, so sorry. I would try pushing fluids, I mean alot of water, extra vitamin c. Also try hops, chamomile, and raspberry tincture or tea. Feeding solely on that side could cause a problem with your other breast, so make sure you're still using both. Good luck!

A long warm shower helps and slowly rubbing to express the milk from the blocked duct. I have heard of pumping to help express it more but sometimes it is more painful? But if it speeds up the blockage a little pain is better than a longer amount of pain. I would try a hot shower and see if you can massage it out at the same time. Good Luck!

yes massage the crap out of it! It SOOOOO helps. You will feel like a million bucks after! Take a HOT face cloth, place on boob and massage WITH the cloth still on the boob.

Arrgh! I've had that a few times. Very painful! The only thing that worked was what you've tried. Massaging the lump towards the babies mouth while feeding. It didn't last long for me after doing that. Good luck :)
