Have you ever used a food dehydrator? You can make fruit, veggie and even meat snacks. Super easy fruit roll-ups: applesauce poured onto the solid tray. You could easily get the kids involved in what to make next & I think they'd be excited about eating their homemade snacks!

Some healthy snacks we use are: yogurt with real granola- I like the bare naked brand and if available I use fresh fruit mixed in, we also use cut veggies with dipping sauce of choice- ranch or french dressing. Itanlian bread with spinich dip. sliced ham, with cream cheese on it with a pickle, crackers and cheese. Any veggies cut up with a tad of salt is always a hit at our house, such as Taters, cucumbers, peppers, rutabega. Celery with peanut butter or cream cheese. There is a great chex mix recipe out there, not sure how to make it but its tasty.

www.allrecipes.com is a good place to find things.

Most schools have nixed peanut butter items. But there are plenty of other options.

Cut fruit, veggie sticks, baked chips and dip, yogurt, a sandwich cut into tiny bite size pieces - I don't know why but kids love that, pudding, jello, dry cereal - my son likes to eat mini wheats dry, my favorite is corn pops, yeah they have some sugar but not much and they're vitamin fortified, popcorn, boiled soybeans,

so many options... anything in particular you are looking for?

My son has a sweet tooth, so he loves fruit! I cut up peaches, pears, apples, bananas, and grapes (actually, I don't cut those!). Peanut butter is good, and I've done apples with PB, and I remember my mom used to pack me "ants on a log" which is a stick of celery filled with PB and topped with a row of "ants" (raisins). I'm sure there are plenty more, but these are my favorites...I'm sure you'll find your favorites, too!
