Help - new baby vomiting through nose and mouth

Hi - My baby is 51 day old and about 10 to 20 mins after a feed he's vomited massive amounts through his nose and mouth, then turned red and screamed the place down - seemingly finding it impossible to breathe. He eventually catches his breath and calms down, but it's really, really scary and I'm now worried about putting his down in case it happens again. he seems really distressed by it. Any ideas why it's coming up through his nose and what I can do? Help gratefully received! thanks a lot.

sorry I wish I could help more but I just not certain on that question sorry. I'd say it is safe but I can't be sure.

I really couldn't say to be honest that's something you may want to ask the doctor.

hi same with me too. after looking back i found might be my son vomit only bcoz of my acidic food

which i have taken.

please suggest me is pentaxim is safe? for my 'lil angle.

Was just thinking since you're breast feeding maybe start a diary write down all the foods you eat. Everything you drink etc. That way you can look back and it might give you an indication of what might have given him a belly ache etc. It's good even when the kids are older and starting solids I have the calender where I write everything from that day. Everything we have all eaten so if my kids are having behaviour problems or belly aches I can look back and see if anything might have triggered it. Just an idea. :)

That happened to my daughter pretty scary. It could he's a little bit to full and/or wind. If he's bottle fed the formula may not agree with him. When I had my son I switched because one I started him on would make him vomit bad. Also don't let bubs over do the feeds. They don't understand when they're full sometimes and will guzzle down their milk and unfortunately gives them a belly aches. Give part of a feed. Stop burp him. Be very gentle though as too much movement will also result in vomit. If after a while bubs is fussing give more of the feed. Good luck you'll figure out what it is and what works best for the 2 of you.
