Hi Sarah,

After about a decade of severe pain (throwing up and passing out) I was diagnosed with endometriosis, and was told that i might not be able to have kids. I was very annoyed as i'd been complaining to local doctors about the pain for years, but they just said "it's just period pain, take some pain killers and forget about it". By the time i was diagnosed it had caused a lot of damage... some of my internal organs were fused together, and the disease had destroyed a section of my bowel. I ended up having to have a caesarian incision to have a bowel resection done. after this last operation, i feel as good as gold, and no longer have any pain. My husband and i then ended up falling pregnant straight away, so i feel very lucky. We're due to have our first baby in 12 weeks. If anyone is suffering with endometriosis, and lives in the Melbourne, Australia area, i can recommend the best specialist!!! He's absolutely fantastic, and has given me my life back.
