My son rolled 'late' at around 8 months. He could roll half way around 6 months but didn't do a complete roll until later. Crawled at 9 months (army style), hands and knees at 11 months and walked at 14 months.

I am a pediatric physical therapist and I can tell you that rolling is one of those things that is really variable among babies. My son rolled over around 3 months, but many babies don't roll until 6 months or later and that is totally normal. If the baby is 8 months and not rolling, I would talk to your pediatrician. But my cousin's daughter never rolled and she is now 7 years old and just fine. They almost always learn to roll tummy to back first. Just make sure you are giving the baby lots of tummy time so he/she has an opportunity to learn.

My little guy rolled over at 5 months and 1 day old. It was amazing!! There were a few times he rolled over when he was younger but I don't think he knew what he was doing. Now he does and he smiles instead of looking scared, like the first time :) He was born 5 weeks early...but I think he's picking up on all of his milestones quite well :)

Hi,
My son is 3&1/2 mts and when I prop him up on a pillow he pushes his upper body up with his elbows and rolls over. He first did this when he was about 2 months old.

My first was rolling to her back at about 2 months then back to her belly at 3 1/2 months and crawling at 5 months, my youngest started rolling from back to belly at 3 months and figured out how to roll the other way a 5 1/2 months now is 6 and just starting to sit up on her own. Kids all have their own paces.

Hi, I have three, the first rolled around 3 months, the second was closer to 4 and my last was around 4-5. It's so cute to watch them go too, trying to get that leg over and they get so mad. I still remember our 3rd's red face with the older two laughing at him, it was funny but ya felt bad for him. make sure to have your camcorder ready!

My son is big. So, it took him a bit longer. I think he was around 4-5 months before he could really roll over good. I think...Sad...I don't remember exactly.
