When mine were 8 months, I was giving them solids at lunch and dinner. They might get a small handful of cheerios at breakfast, but that was still mainly a breastfeeding time. At around 9 months, they started getting the 3rd meal of the day.
It is totally normal for his poop to get more solid, but if it's too hard he will fight it and constipate himself. Just increase his fluids a bit.
You can always talk to his doctor about this stuff and what he should be getting.

Thats what ive kinda been doing. When he gets up i give him cereal in a bowl(9am), for lunch i would give him a solid vegetabel & fruit stage 2's(1pm), and for dinner a meat or dinner stage 2 and a stage 2 fruit or something sweet(5pm), then a night time bottle ...but then his poop started coming out solid!! I dont know if im doing it wrong or not .. or if its normal for his poop to become this way.
