it depends alot on your weight....larger girls feel it later than thinner girls..,.,no sooner than 16 weeks and by 22 weeks ..,,,,,same goes for feeling it on the outside.,,.,...no later than 26 weeks...on the outside!!!  depends again on your weight ...........thinner girls need less puch to get through the layers.............lol

i cant believe this............. I am a BIGGER girl and i felt my babies move at 14-16wks so that blows that theory right out of the water! also my partner felt it on the outside at 18wks.

i'm a bigger girl and my last pregnancy i felt my daughter at 13 weeks. its different from person to person, size doesn't make a difference at all. ur post was pretty offensive.

I'm currently 180lbs at 5'4" so not considered skinny by any means.  My comments, while offensive to you, had nothing to do with weight and everything to do with my experiences working in birth and current research on this subject.  While you felt your baby move earlier than many, the fact remains that the more abdominal fat a woman has the more internal fat she has (fat is placed by the body on organs, as well as between muscle and skin) and this can cushion the movements of a baby in utero.  When a woman has little body fat, there is little to no body fat on her organs and nothing to cushion the feelings of the small movements in the uterus.

It wasn't about big or little/fat or skinny...it was about the generalized outcome of those body types in this situation.  Offense is taken when we allow ourselves to be offended.

I also had a miscarriage a couple of years ago and am currently 14 weeks prgnant.  I was also driving myself crazy but have begun recently feeling small movements when I am most still.  Best of luck.

Around 20 weeks. The more pregnancies you have, the earlier you can feel the movments. With my first, I didn't feel anything antil around 20 weeks, but with my 3rd, I felt moving around 14 weeks. Sorry about your losses. I too have 2 angels.

Another thing that I did with my second pregnancy was put a set of earphones from a diskman on my belly with either soothing music or lullabyes.  That got my son moving around alot and apparently it helps with the left side of the brain development.  I put the earphones on my belly from the time I found out I got pregnant and as he got bigger you could really see his little hand push out or a foot come out. My husband videotaped my belly and it is quite amazing to see.

Its only natural to be scared and nervous, but stay positive and healthy and all should be fine in the end.

I've had 6 pregnancies, with two losses at 8 and 12 weeks.  With my first full term I felt movement between 15 and 20 weeks.  With the consecutive pregnancies I was able to feel small movements by 12 weeks and larger movements by 20.

It does depend on body size and structure.  A thin women with an anterior uterus (leaning toward the front of the body) may feel movement sooner, whereas a larger woman or a woman with a posterior uterus (leaning toward the spine) may not feel movement until well into the 2nd trimester.

My suggestion would be to do some deep relaxation exercises where you breath to your baby, deep abdominal breathing, in a quiet place.  Spend time with your baby, sending love and comfort to your baby through relaxation.  Stay in that place for as long as possible but minimum of 15 minutes every day.  Once you connect you will know it.

sorry to hear about your miscarriages,,,,,,,,I hope and prey that your luck is better this time around.....I truley believe that if a baby really wants to be yours it will try  as many times as it takes to become yours........this baby has chosen you and wants to be with you!! find hope in that and I am sure all will go well.........I know how it feels to stress out like that about if your baby is ok ...and it is hard to keep it off your mind,,,,just try to be positive stay healthy and thats all you can do the rest is out of your hands,,,,good luck truely three times a charm!!!!!

Sorry to hear about your 2 miscarriages.  I have never personally had to deal with that but I do have several friends that have suffered that kind of loss.

Everyone is different but you should start to feel butterflies around 3 to 4 months as anywhere from 16 to 20 weeks.  Since you have had other pregnancy it might be a bit longer.  Have you gone for your first ultrasound?
