No as bad towards me leaving her with someone and leaving. But just as simple as leaving the room to go to something quick or go grab something. She will start crying until i am back in her sight. What is a simple good way i can get her away from it?!?

Play peek a boo with her. Start with just a blanket and work your way into another room and peeking around the corner just to show her you are still there. It does help. My oldest was the same way but it started at a younger age. As long as she realizes that you will come back she won't get so afraid.

Nichole, I too have a 7 mth old who is doing the same thing. I have tried everything, but I've been told to let her cry for a few minutes then go in comfort her and try again after she calms down. so far it has worked with Addi. I think she has figured out that even though she can't see me I haven't left her. I know its hard when you're trying to do things and they act up like that, My mother says she'll grow out of it. Boy I hope so.

My daughter does the same thing...but i am a single mom and it has always been just the two of us so i dont blame her but it does get annoying...i just try to occupy her and then sneak away i know it sounds mean but whatever you need to do...hope it helps!

My son did the same thing and it lasted a week. At first I was always running back in and he'd have a big smile on his face. Then I'd leave and he's start back up again. Well, one day, I said, ok, I've got things I need to do. So I would talk to him while I was out of the room and do what I had to do. It wasn't easy at first, that's for sure because he'd cry but it all ended within a week!

My mom taught my daughter the word "wait." When she heard "wait" she knew that we would be right back or we were bringing her bottle or whatever. She wouldn't wait long, but at least she knew we were paying attention.

well sorry to say.....but she will have to outgrow it and eventually she will, just don't give in or she will be in control.....just assure her it is ok she will learn that you are comming back...try making a game of peek a boo, move out of sight then pop right back in the room and get all excited and make her laugh, eventually she will just sit and look for you like it's a game...

let her cry just keep talking to her while you are out of the room... just the sound of your voice may help... my daughter was the same way... as soon as she would cry i would run back... it was like pavolv's dog.... then i just kept saying,, mommy will be right back,, im right here... it stopped in a week... hang in anxiety will go away :)
