Is it normal to not want to feel anxious about buying stuff for your baby during a high risk pregancy? And how common are these pregnancies?

I didn't have a high risk pregnancy but didn't start buying things for my baby until I was 34 weeks along and I didn't set up his room until I was 36 weeks(went into labour the following night). I also refused to let anyone else buy anything for the baby, I think it's completely normal to be anxious or worried and if you're not ready to start buying things, then don't. Congratulations and Best Wishes!

I have been through 3 high risk pregnancies and did not start preparing for my babies' arrivals until 32 weeks. But I don't see anything wrong with those who decide to start buying earlier. It is a very personal decision.

For now just focus on the positive. There is nothing wrong with waiting awhile before you start buying things. Although I am sure that high risk pregnancies still have great statistics. It usually means closer doctor follow-up and maybe more testing, but your chances of carrying a healthy baby, whether term or premature, are better than ever!

well if you have a high risk pregnancy then you're worried, that would be why you are anxious about it, it probably makes you feel better, high risk pregnancies are actually more common then people think. i had a high risk pregnancy too, so if you have any questions let me know
