With my first child I didn't get many stretch marks at all except on my hips and thighs. By the time I was pregnant with my second child (two years later) my stretchmarks were barely noticable. You can still see them because it changes the texture of your skin but they are a lighter shade of my skin tone. I had my son 3 months ago so he sprouted new ones on my tummy and I used to hate changing or getting in the shower and seeing them, but now I look at them as proof of the unbelievable and loving time I had with my child while he was inside my belly. And the overcoming of labor and child birth I went through. Battle wounds :) They will lighten up tons and you will be able to wear a 2 piece again trust me it just make take one summer of wearing a wife beater over your top. Just be proud of them while they are there because they won't be there forever.

Oven time they lighten up and so will you. There are so many other reasons your body will not be the way it was. There is no going back only forward. You are a mom now and will find that certain swimsuits are easier to manage with a baby, especialy when they start grabbing strings, straps etc. You will come to be comfortable with all the changes that happen post baby. I was very self consious for a long time, and I have them bad. But now, I bare it all on live belly dance shows and no one even notices from the stage.

nothing really get rid of the stretch marks. over time they will get lighter, but not even bio oil is gonna get rid of them - it is just gonna smooth them and make them less visible.

the best thing for it is the laser therapy which can be quite pricey but also that does not get rid of them 100%

there is no cure for them apart from smoothing them down and makeing them less visible in a long run with bio oil or body creams or butters that have cocoa in them. Vaseline cocoa butter is great and Palmer's cocoa formula is not bad - only does not smell very delicious. And whether you chose bio oil or cocoa creams, make sure you apply them every single day.

ideally you should have started using bio oil or some creams for stretchmarks when you were pregnant and when your belly was growing - that way you would have avoided great deal of them.

Bio oil is fab but simply moisturing with anything helps too, time is the best healer though

Sadly time is the only thing that is going to help. You can buy all the creams that you want but if you are going to get stretch marks, you are goiing to ge them.
