How do I get through 20 cm of snow with a baby stroller?

Holly, okay if you're using a hmm don't know the name of it.. i guess it's a sling. yes that would work great. But i was thinking of the one i have where it's a front pack. You can't overly wrap them because their lets need to go through the holes.

I will admit that if your coat is long enough it would work out. My husband for example can do it. I pin a blanket around her dangling feet. His coat covers down past her feet. And has enough room inside for her. Although we still choose to just carry a carseat with her in her coat and with a blanket and a carseat cover. She seems to sleep better that way anyways.

When my twins were a few months old during the winter months snow and cold and all. I would go for a walks with one or both of them all snug in the moby wrap with my nice warm coat that was big enough to cover us all and their heads covered with knit caps.I would sweat in 20 degree weather. Sure kept off cabin fever for me . I guess it all depends if Cheyanne is within walking distance to her appointments and many of these ideas make sense for that. Simply from car to appointment with one baby yes arms work well for that.

Holly, the answer is yes, you can. No one in their right mind (in Wyoming snow, anyway) wears a baby pack, we wrap the baby up and physically carry them in our arms!

Been working well for centuries, I guarantee it!

How old is your baby? After my daughter hit about 12 months old and could sit properly in one with no problem, I used a sled during the winter. I towed that thing behind me for years.

if you are really serious about getting out and about in the snow with a baby Burley bike trailer sells a kit to add "ski's" to the bike trailer/stroller part so parent can get out and about even cross country ski with baby/babies. I think they are pretty expensive though. There are also baby carrier covers that keep baby covered and warm but tucking in a blanket around the baby or wearing a coat large enough to cover baby too works in super cold weather.

holly as a walker myself no the baby isn't warmer in a pack. Their feet hang out of your coat and there is little you can do about it. In the stroller you can layer blanket upon blanket on them.

even with that said, you might need to just carry or put them in a pack. Depending on the age if you have a wagon they tend to do better in the snow, since you pull them behind you. Hopefully you don't have too far to go in the cold. It might be for the best to reschedule it if you can.

If it's only one baby. a baby backpack/carrier is a great way. I have a wonderful Trek wagon that has big wheels I can take my twins for rides in the snow when my stroller wont work but that of course is for leisure fun rides around the neighborhood I wouldn't pack it to an appointment.

I'd also ditch the stroller and go with a baby carrier and just carry the diaper bag on your shoulder. If the appt is for you just lay a blanket down on the ground when you get there and the baby can just lay on that.

wouldn't the baby be warmer up against your body? I suggest you carry the baby... forget the stroller... i think you'd both be warmer

All I can advice is drag it backward, you will feel like you've done a full body work out but you will get further then going forward's.

Snow tires?

Do you absolutely need teh stroller? How far is the journey? Usually (living in the midwest, and having over 70cm to deal with when mine were stroller ages), I gave it up and hiked with them.

Either that, or used one of the large wheeled ones...
