I was told by my prev doc to use a pumice stone and "file" the wart down, then when you can see the dots (those are the roots of the wart) put duct tape on it. You should keep duct tape on it till it is gone, of course replacing it often. It will take a few weeks to work.

Good luck...If all else fails, take her to her pediatrician to have it removed (they will do it right there in office)

take him to the dermatologist as a last resort. they will remove it for you. also helps if your insurance covers it.

Hi Christa!!
I had three warts on my middlefinger, being to scared to go to the doctor I also tried everything. At last resource I used my mothers advice, cover the wart with colourless cutex twice a day. You will see the wart disappearing in a few weeks. Hope this works!!

My mom swears by this aproach.  I also found a link to a website that explains how to use duct tape with salicylic acid.  You need to be agressive and consistent with the salicylic acid and keeping it covered, if not with duct tape (it may be too harsh for your daughter's skin) with a band-aid or first aid tape.  I've used the same method with just a band-aid and it has worked for me.  Here's the link:  http://www.drdaveanddee.com/warts.html

Hope this helps!

Hi Christa,

For a natural approach that is totally painless try lemon oil - it worked for me within 2 weeks.

Hi Christa.....fill the wart down with a pumice stone and then use the likes of wartner/freeze away and Solactol I think that's how you spell it, it helps to keep the dead skin from growing and if the wart isn't gone with in 2 weeks keep repeating....make sure when you are filling down the dead skin do it straight after your daughter has a bath and just make sure the area is dry.

Best of luck
