How do you get dried nail polish out of carpet? Is it possible?

I would try Sol-u-Mel. My daughter put lipstick on my friend's living room carpet (oops!) and sol-u-mel took it out! I would try it on nail polish if I needed to. Good luck with all these ideas! Will you let us know what worked?

Try "Oops!". You can buy it at Walmart. I removed furniture stain from cream colored carpet with it! Give it a try, it certainly can't hurt :D

If you know anyone in Melaleuca, ask them to let you borrow their Sol-u-mel. That will definitely do it for you. It will take out paint, nail polish, permanent marker and also if any of your kids get gum in their hair or on the carpet it will take that out too. It is really liquid gold! Also it doesn't have any toxic fumes and no toxic chemicals in it so you don't have to worry about kids getting into it because it isn't poisonous. try a clippers set and go little by little...it works to get nail polish out of carpet! My niece did it to my carpet and I didnt find it until it dried too! Just go slowly and little by little! Go Luck!

try rubbing alcohol to get nail polish out of carpet. It got dried red paint out of our beige carpet before. It also did nail polish, but I think it was still wet. It also takes out fresh koolaid spills too. Smells bad, but works great!

omg, I'm so sorry for you, but kind of glad not to be alone. My son did that to me about 18 months ago, on a white carpet at that and I tried it all, nothing works! brush and soaps just broke it up, it still stayed incrusted in the fibers. nail polish remover did lighten it, but it also made the stain spread out and it still showed. I hope you have better luck then I did getting nail polish out of carpet, I threw mine out in the end.

i bought something called stains-r- out & i tried it on nail polish & it comes out,its fantastic stuff its made in america but i got it from sky shopping channel i think i got mine of best direct 0871 222 2007,or tv shop 08704 100 633.hope it works for you as it did for me if you can't find it write me i will find it for you.**

Someone told me shaving cream or hair spray Never used it yet. I use Oxy clean for all most everything works great. Did you try searching how to get nail polish out of carpet on Google yet? I always find my answer there. Let me know which one works.
