My 7 1/2 month old son wants to chomp on and play with the electric cords. Any suggestions on how to babyproof them. The main ones of concern are the lamp cords because they go from the outlet to the stand, and the phone cord which the outlet is in a different room than the cord.

I didn't have that problem with my older 2 but with Isobel we are renting so can't do anything permanent.
We have cord for the speakers going past her couch and just got a metal tube that we put the cords through just for the section she was interested in.
The cord that connected our modem to the phone socket was also running along the floor but we have a doorway there so just ran it over the top of the doorframe.
I taught all my kids "no" or "ahah" from a young age so as soon as I say those words they look at me with a guilty look and then move onto something else.

Thank you Kate. I was hoping for something less costly, maybe something I could rig myself, but unless I get any suggestions here or have a sudden inspiration, I will be ordering those. Thank you again.
