I have three daughters and I never closed the bathroom door when I was in there. I wanted my children to understand what a bathroom was for. Once you're a mother privacy goes out the window - I learned to accept that fact. When they were about 18 months old I put a potty chair in the bathroom and we'd 'go' together. They all thought it was a fun game and by the time they were 2 to 2/12 they were all potty trained. I agree that staying dry during the night is a much longer process and one that shouldn't be rushed.

Be patient...often kids regress a little and you just have to keep encouraging them. This happened with both of my boys but by the time they were nearly 3 they had no more accidents! Just keep pressing on.

With my son we used a calender and stickers everytime he went he got to choose a sticker and place it on the day so we could keep track. And if he had an accident we would take him to the potty, sit him down so he would put the two together. Lots of praise works!! But they do do it in their own time. Hope that helps

With my son there was nothing I could do UNTIL he was ready!!! However, when the time came lots of praise and I also has stickers in the bathroom when used. I didn't say much when accidents happened. At night kept pull-ups on till I went through 2 weeks of dry ones took it off and haven't been back suprised how easy it was when he was ready:)))

With my son we encourged him to go sit on the potty and when he had a accident just took him to the potty and sat him on it and told him that the potty was where he had to do wee wees and we tried stickers everytime he went but that got boring for him so we just settled for high fives and he loves it he comes and gets us now and shows us just to get a high five so my advice is just find something that gets her excited and she will enjoy getting it and a lot of clapping and dancing around looking silly everytime she goes to the potty.
