I would say my son started teething at 3 1/2 months which was early and had 4 teeth by the time he was almost 4 1/2 months it was funny this little baby with a mouth full of teeth

My oldest started teething about 2 1/2 months...very early. The others were 5 months and 7 months.

I think teething can start at any time, although 6months and up in the average age to start, my little girl started teething at 11 weeks old, then the tooth went back down again and came through the gum properly just before she was 4 months old. Ive heard of newborns born with teeth and Ive heard of 18month olds that havnt got any teeth yet, so it can vary a lot just depends on the genetics really.
