How effective is a tens machine??

im due to give birth for the 2nd time in july, i want more pain relief than just gas and air but dont like the thought of having an epidural and being numb, so i just wondered how effective a tens machine is?

I reckon you either love or hate a tens machine, i used one, when i tried it when i was in early labour and i didn't get it and thought it would bug me, but then when my labour started to get more intense (at home) i was using it and it did give me a bit of relief and something to do during each contraction, towards the end i just had it on fullstop and loved, really really needed it just as much as my gas and air !!!



so i say hire one out and just take it with you and try it, it can't hurt !
