What they are saying is once you thaw it you should not refreeze it a second time, that's how I'm reading it. I would say once cooked and refrozen it should be used within 3 months of being put back into the freezer. It sounds like you have it all divided up so you are only thawing one serving at a time which is perfectly acceptable.

I would suggest a maximum of 3 months, based on suggested times, if you are mixing meats. Having said this, I am making an assumption you are freezing for an infant. It is highly unlikely that your infant will be eating purees for very long, so it would then become a non issue :).

What is the "rule" for freezing Meat Purees or Meat Combinations?
this is taken from wholesome homemade baby food :
You should not freeze meat purees from meats that have been frozen when raw, thawed, cooked and then frozen and then, thawed again.
If you ever forget what the "rule" is, remember that you can take out a raw frozen roast, thaw it, cook it and then freeze the leftovers for another meal.
** it is a little confusing , because when I prepared chicken for my baby girl , I took a frozen chicken breast , thaw it with cold water then immediately cooked it , pureed it and put it in ice treat , then removed the cubes into a freezing bag , and now everytime I feed her , I take a cube and heat it ! am I doing wrong ? please help !
