I started mixing rice cereal and baby food together at around 5 months for both my children.

All three of my children were different. Most you will know when the baby food is just not filling them up anymore. My son was only 3 months, but that was becasue he couldn't handle formula and had to start solids. My second was about 6 months and the baby I think came out eating table food. She would drink an 8 oz bottle at 5 days and still be hungry. It just depends on the child.

With my daughter, I waited until she was 4 months before mixing her milk with cereal. My doctor told me that I could start her at that age.

We had to start our youngest Brock from the beginning in his formula bottles due to not able to holding anything down. It wasn't because of reflux, but the formula was not heavy enough for him.  We were told by our doctor to start giving him rice cereal at night about 2 months due to he was unable to sleep and we were afraid that something would happen to him. We started him on baby food about 4 months just a little at a time added with his cereal.

I waited until my children were 4 months or so.  It just depends on the child.  try just a table spoon or less and see how the child reacts.  it won't harm them it is fruit.  I usually would blend my own fruit with the blender and not by the store brand though this way I knew my kid was getting real fruit.

Be sure to start small and only use one kind of fruit for at least a week to see if an alergy will form.  if you have given several different kinds then you won't know what the alergy is...

i started him at about 5 months on rice cereal as i thought he was ready. i gave him just rice cereal for about a month and then started to add like a little bit of a tin of apple or something for the flavour. then a week later i would try a different flavour for another week and then a different flavour the week after that. i think he was about 7 months when i started to feed him straight out of the tin, he still had rice cereal for breakfast tho. but i alctually think you can get flavoured cereal.

A babies gut is not able to process solid foods until approx 6 months. So, I waited until the with both my boys and gradually added things into the cereal (as you are thinking of doing). Within a few weeks the cereal will probaby be relegated to breakfast time and your little one will be on mash or some such for other meals. (Mashed vegies and gravy was a favourite by 8 months)

Started about 5 months with my children. That is the first think I introduced to my children. I started with milk, then gave that about a week or two, then onto mixing it with juice instead. Of course, they like milk the best!

We started at 6 months mixing rice with baby food.  But usually we would just mix juice with it and leave it a little thicker :)

about 6-7 months i would say. i always followed the rule of thumb as to introduce a new food every few days so you can monitor any reactions or sensitivities.
