How long does it take labor to begin after you've lost your mucous plug?

In my case, I lost my mucous plug during the day and went into labor that night.

Well, my waters and everything came away naturally, and after 9 hrs with nothing happening I was put on Syntosin (Synthetic Oxytosin that is supposed to create contractions) After 11 hrs of dialating 1 cm, and my blood pressure getting high, and my waters being green, they sent me in for an emergency C section. Plus here they wont let you go for longer than 24 hrs with broken waters, so yeah. But everyone is different. You'll know. =)

I Lost mine exactly a week before I went into labour, but can vary. Good luck and enjoy any last moments of peace and quiet lol !! xx

Yes i thought that too nearly ten years ago and nothing happened for at least 20 days, hopefully u wont have to wait as long as i did, all the very best to you

I lost mine at 7in the evening, broke my bag at 10:00pm and delivered at 2:20am.

i lost my m.p. and didnt go into labor for 2 days! it varies but you should see your doctor if its been longer than i think a week or so. its easy to get infections after so long!

It could take anywhere from a day to weeks. I lost mine in the hospital after my water broke, everyone is different . Just know you are close, good luck and CONGRATS !!!!

It is different for everyone, but I lost mine almost 2 weeks before I had my son. Just be packed and ready to go!

I lost mine at about 2 in the afternoon...I was in the hospital, in active labor at 9 that night & he was born at 9:46 the next morning. It will start happening soon!!

i lost mine a couple of days before i had my son but some say u can lose it up to a week before i think it just depends

Your almost there. Everyone is different. Good Luck! Hopefully your bags are packed and in the car. The baby can come anytime now make sure you get your rest.
