Indefinitely until you see improved behavior, and he maintains that behavior for more than 3 weeks.

No motocross. Definitely take that away. Make sure he suffers the consequence from he school as well. Do not excuse this absence.

James, if you are a man, please leave. If you are a woman, it sounds like you need to pull up your big girl panties and be a responsible parent.

D Elmer, it doesn't matter if you do or don't mind men on here. This is a women's site. Men are banned from here daily. Talk to the community management team if you feel it should be different.

What... did you just sit there and watch him skip school? Drag his butt in and 'shadow' him all day. If he has a legit problem with going to school... help him deal with it. If he's just skipping school cuz he doesn't want to go... stop letting him get away with it.

I would allow the school to consider him a truant. Whatever consequences he has to face as a result, let him face them. On top of that, I'd take away all priveleges. No electronics, no TV. Give him extra work around the house. And, he must make up whatever work he missed in school. That means whatever lectures he missed he'll have to learn the material himself. If he has trouble with it, he has to make arrangements to get help from his teacher. Help facilitate this with him, but don't do it for him.

I don't mind men here. It's nice to get their perspective.
How old is your son? That is going to matter.

I would try to figure out why specifically he skipped school. might be more there than meets the eye. I would take away all electronics. But not have a screaming match. I would sit down ant talk to him. Also it depends on how old he is.
