How many hours were you in labor?

My first baby took 9 hours and just a couple of pushes so I thought, hey, that was easy, I'll do it again. So I had another baby, this time 4 and 1/2 hours, but the contractions were pretty much one right after the other and she got stuck at the shoulders, so I decided two little girls was enough! :)

12 hours from time water broke till Jarryd was born, no pain relief only the bath and shower.

Ended up having to have the foceps and suction as was getting to much to push and his heart rate was dropping.

17 and half hours, 1 hour of pushing then a C-section! Her shoulder was stuck on my pelvic bones. No injuries, just a healthy 8 lb 6oz baby girl!

My water broke at 3:30. We made it to the hospital by 7 because I waited a while. She was born by 10... would have been earlier but no one checked to see how far dialated I was holding my legs together because they kept telling me I wasn't ready to push.. I was ready! Completely natural.. She was 6 pounds 7 ounces.. 21 inches long!

36 long hours my little boy was born via emergency c-section after he went into distress! He had the umbilical cord wrapped around his neck 3 times and I had a partial placental abruption.

i was lucky, my labour only lasted about 4 hours. it happened very fast, no time for an epidural. the up side is that recovery was much quicker.

My baby girl was born on March 11, 2009. I was in labor (as far as I knew!) for 18 hours and was dialated for nearly 3 cm, then I had to go for emergency C-S.

A lovely 14 1/2 hour journey. Thank goodness for the pain meds and vacuum. I'd probably still be pushing!! All well worth it in the end and after a few weeks you will forget the pain.

maybe 30 minutes i had no pains at all went to an appointment and dr. sent me the the hospital..no meds i was extremely lucky!!!

I had to be enduced because I wasn't dialated at all! But I was contracting and didn't know it for some time, I slept very well thru the night, then it was about 45 minutes of real labor and my boy shot out!

With my 1st baby I was in labour from 9am till 11pm which is a total of 14hours. My 2nd baby I was in labour for 4hrs.

My first was 12 hours, the second time was 7 hours, the third was 5 hours. I almost didn't make it to the hospital with my fourth child. She came along about 30 minutes after I arrived at the hospital.

1st- 4 hours-- Dr broke my water at 7:30 am and I was pushing by 11:00. She was born at 11:24 am.

2nd- 45 min!!! We were in bed asleep when my water broke, rushed to the hospital, and babey was born 10 min after we got there. Daddy was parking the car and missed the delivery, and the nurses had to deliver the baby. Dr. got there 15 min. after the baby was born.

3rd- 20 min!!!! We were eating supper when my water broke (the last two were each born at 39 and weeks). We called the hospital in route to let them know we were on the way. The Dr just happened to be making rounds other wise she would have missed this one also! Daddy almost missed this one also, the nurse had to run down to get him from the parking lot!!!!

From my water breaking to giving birth to a son 7lbs 9oz. It was in total 23hrs 35min. It wasn't that bad untill I got the famous needle owch!! The needle hurt more than the contractions. lol

19.5 hours from start to finish. i was induced. my contracts started at 12am, water broke arund 6:30am and my daughter was born at 7:30pm. long day but thanks to the epidural i got to get some much needed sleep.

Went a loverly 11 1/2 hours with my first all natural, but induced and ended up having 45 minute contractions. I sure do hope the second is easier.

With my firstborn, a son, it was 3 1/2 hours. With my secondborn, a daughter, it was 2 1/2 hours. I lucked out!

i think i got off quiet easily. i was in labour 12 hours 2 mins with my first and with my second from my water breaking to her being delivered was 2 hours.

All natural births (okay I admit it, with my son I had an epidural)

i went into labour on sunday afternoon & she was born on thursday the 19th labour was VERY slow i had to be induced and almost had an emergency c-sec.
It took 37 mins to push her out and she was 6lb 9oz lol
stubborn little madame (gets it from her dad) lol
