How much did you save from your first baby to use for your future children? (If this is your first, how much are you saving). Is there anything you regret not saving? What do you wish you didn't keep?

I am saving everything-bottles, toys, blankets etc. We plan on having three kids and only have one child at the moment so we still have a way to go. Can always get rid of it after our third child is finished with it, you never know what you may need.

It really depends on how much room you have to store stuff. If you have the room, save everything that is in good condition and that you liked. If not, save the things that are the most expensive to replace.

I only have one child and I only plan to have one child, but I saved absolutely everything for my sisters (both of whom now have babies!).

I saved basic toys, onesies, burp cloths, the swing, the outfits they wore home from the hospital...

I sold the pack-n-play... all that chewing on the canvas covered railing - eeewww... no matter how much I cleaned it, I couldn't get it CLEAN.

I regret nothing. I saved everything I wanted to save. I didn't get rid of anything for years. By the time I did, I was comfortable with the idea of getting rid of it.

I wish I had sold the carseats. They were worthless one or two years after they outgrew them.

My suggestion to new moms who plan on having at least 1 more...don't buy staple items that are gender specific I.e. Pink strollers, carseats...they become useless if your next child is a boy.

I kept pretty much everything from the first and now the second. The determining factor was the gender of the baby. We had a boy, kept stuff and waited. We had another boy, kept stuff while deciding about having #3. Now preg with #3 but do not know the flavor, so keeping stuff. When we know what this one is, we will either keep only the keepsake stuff and gender neutral or most of it. We did get rid of the stuff that just didn't fit with our lives, donated either to a women's shelter or the Salvation Army.

My son is 2, and we have been trying for #2 for 19 months, with no luck. So my husband and I decided we are going to have a HUGE garage sale and sell 98% of the stuff. We are keeping major things, the swing, crib ( son is still in it) the big stuff we are keeping but we are selling most baby toys and clothes, bottles bibs all that. clothes will start to rot unless in temp controled area and I figure who is to say if #2 comes that it will be a boy.

I am keeping all the stuff that I liked or that worked well for us. Things I found that didn't do as well as I thought it would I am getting rid of, or things that I would like a different type of. Otherwise I am keeping everything else. I would rather keep things in boxes wasting space than have to buy it all again.

We kept everything from our first to our second. Got rid of it all ~3 years, then when the youngest was 5 we had 3 at once so had to buy a TON. I saved enough from the last 3 to supply a small country, despite having gotten rid of a lot. Seriously, we had NINE cribs alone (had to outfit 3 houses). We're just getting rid of a lot of it now finally, and they're turning 3.

my daughter is 11 months old, and we're planning on trying for baby #2 once Fallon turns 1. I've kept almost everything, I'm sharing clothes with my sister right now, she has a 3 month old girl. The only things I've thrown away or given away were things I found useless. It was funny, my sister tried to give baby clothes to a friend of hers who is pregnant and my mom (whom she lives with since she's only 17) yelled at her because I've already told her that we want at least one more baby so I'll need the baby stuff back.

I'm keeping everything too! I also have saved some new items that my son got too many of or never used.
