I guess I was lucky to get $10/hr..but that was for three kids lol. How old is the babysitter? And what do you normally pay her? I would do it for $70. The thing you have to keep in mind is that she is there in case of an emergency all night long, so even if she is sleeping, she still is available if need be, and therefore, still kinda working...you could ask her what's acceptable to her, too....or her parents, depending on her age... Good luck to you!

i used to babysit overnight alot and what i got paid was $60 for 12 hours, and if it was longer then 12 hours they gave me $10 for each extra hour (generally the shift was 12hours but sometimes traffic/weather , etc would make them late getting home)

Overnights are difficult - even if your child is asleep it's a lot of extra responsibility. In general, we pay our sitters $5 per hour. I don't think $70 is unreasonable for such a long job.
