I just found out today that my 7 month old daughter weighs 14lbs. and that sounded kinda low for a 7 month old! Does anyone know how much your baby weighed at 7 months?? Or how much a 7 month old should weigh?

my daughter is 6 months old and she weights nearly 19 pounds .. but then i do feed her baby rice cereal in her bottles and she has been eating Gerber baby food since 4 months basically. Her father and i are both on the larger side .. so that could be why she weighs this much but she has no fat on her ... shes just big ....

My son weighed about 19 lbs at 7 months and my daughter was like 17 lbs at 7 months. They were both a little on the big side. My cousin has a daughter that just turned 7 months, I don't know how much she weighs now but she was 14 lbs at her 6 month check up, and she was 8 lbs when she was born, so she was not premature, she is just growing kind of slow and does not like to eat, but she is growing and she is healthy so that is all that matters.

Every baby grows at different times so how much your 7 month old should weigh depends. You need to look at your family and the dad's family, their size structure. My kids was always below the national average when they took their physical but they all were below 7 lbs birth weight and the national average was done on 8 lbs babies. So my babies was always in the low percentile. But I didn't pay mind to it because my family was small.

My daughter was weighed today. She is 8.5 months & she weighed 15lbs. She is petite. Dr is not one bit worried as she is healthy & meeting all her milestones. Just like there are big & small adults there are big & small babies. Takes all kinds......

My son is weighed 13 lbs. 11 oz. at his 6 months checkup, so I imagine he is about the same size as your little one. He was 7 lbs 12 oz at birth- full term.

I think my DD weighed close to the same at that age. A lot of it has to do with ignoring the numbers because how much your 7 month old should weigh depends on a.) Your kids is following her own growth curve, b.) your kid is meeting milestones and c.) seeing your kid has plenty of wet and dirty diapers.

My twins are 12 mo and about 15 lbs. They were a month early and the "bigger" one was 5lbs 13oz also. At 6 mo they were about 12 lbs. They are growing and developing nicely...so far the dr has been fine with their growth. Their father's family is on the very small side and my mom's side of the family has a lot of petite. Also...if you are bf those babies tend to gain more slowly (though not all of course).

Erin going by her birth weight she is doing amazingly! Remember she was a month early so in milestones and so forth she isn't really 7 months old she is 6 months old! She has tripled her birthweight then by 6 months!! That is what both mine did who were a month early too! I have found with my children its best to go by how they look not their weights. My son is now 5 years old and is only 36 lbs. He isn't the smallest kid in his class but he is one of the youngest. And he is steadly growing when I compare him to the smaller kids in class. It seems like half the kids look HUGE and half the kids are in his size range. I have just learned to ignore the giant kids.. lol!

My son weighs 21lbs at 7 months and is 27.5 inches tall. His cousin is 8 months and weighs 19lbs and 28 inches tall. My friends daughter is 10 months and she weighs 18lbs and is barely 24 inches tall. I wouldn't worry about it if she's eating, pooping, peeing right and if she's active she could even lose weight. So yea, I wouldn't worry about how much your 7 month old weighs! Babies come in all shapes and sizes :D

i think i read somewhere that at six months they're around doubling their birthweight.. less if they were premature. mines still only 2.5 months tho! :)

my son just turned 7 months and he weighed 18 lbs when he was 6 and a half months. He is a tall baby. Girls are usually smaller.

My 4 year old is still 30 lbs... he is smaller than his peers and very healthy. Don't worry about it if ur baby is happy and hitting all the milestones and the doc says all is good :-)

At 7 months, my son weighed about 24lbs 5oz (98th percentile).... but he's pretty chunky :) Your daughter's weight sounds well within the normal range, though.

Quoting Veronica:

My daughter is 2 years old and is only 20 lbs. yet -- she's as healthy as a horse, and is climbing her own curve on the chart - so the doctors aren't worried, she is just petite -- my 9 mo old is bigger than her!! As long as she is healthy otherwise, i wouldnt worry about it at all. Even the dietician didnt have issues. So, as long as she's healthy --

20 lbs....hehe lucky you.  Must have been nice when you had to lug her around everywhere!

Molly is 7 months tomorrow and 17ish pounds. Shes a chubby baby tho! A good friend of mine has a 6.5 month old and she just hit 14lbs....

Girls tend to be smaller anyways. If she is healthy and thriving in other areas...I wouldn't worry about how much your 7 month old should weigh :)

My son just turned 8 months and weighs over 19 lbs already....He's a big boy!
