40 the 1st time & 35 the 2nd. Don't worry! It just takes time! Eat frequent small meals & stay active with simple things like walking.

I gained 52 lbs when the dr. suggested 25-35. I lost about 30 in the first month without doing much. Just the job of being mom and breastfeeding helped take it off and I didn't eat much (no time). I have about 9 lbs. to go to get back to prepregnancy weight and it's been 3 months. Not bad I guess. Back at the gym now to get those 9 off!

I gained about 47 pounds on top of my pregnancy. At first I was losing weight because of really bad morning sickness. If it wasn't for Dilecton, I think thats how you spell it. It doesn't harm the baby but it helps a lot with nausea. So I started eating more at 6 months pregnant. It was harder to lose the weight for me, because I was in so much pain after my daughter was born. It is different for everyone. When your pregnant your eating habits are a lot different, you crave different things. I just recommend that after the baby is born and to lose the weight, just start eating right, and exercising. Try a well balanced diet with a lot of nutrients and fibres, and try to sleep when the baby sleeps, that helps. I hope this helps.

I gained 35lbs. with my pregnancy. After she was born I lost about 25 right of way, then the last 10 took a couple of months of just walking and some crunches!! I was luck that the weight came off so easily.

i gained 50lbs with both full term pregnancies and lost 30lbs of it giving birth both times, babies were 7lb4oz and 8lb 4 1/2oz respectively. I carried a lot of water and when measured at 5 months pregnant was 54 1/2 inches round my waist (137.2cm) i was too scared to measure myself again afterwards lol. the rest i lost with hard work and exercise over the next 2 years. In fact i had just regained my figure from the 1st one when i fell pregnant again lol

I gained around 70lbs with my first and about 20-30 came off by itself in the first year then over time i lose most of the rest by doing cardio workouts and just staying busy. With my 2nd I gained about the same and I lost about 20 right away then I did detox and lost 10.. Now since Im too busy to get a good workout and have trouble following a diet, Im taking a perscription diet pill and Ive lost 3 pant sizes in the last 3 months. I think I still have around 20lbs to go..

I gained 40 lbs with both my pregnancies and lost it all both times plus 5 lbs. It was all due to breastfeeding and carrying the babies around. :-)

I think I was like Darylann - I was underweight (7 1/2 stone and 5'7" tall - should really have weighed nearer 9 stone) and with my first pregnancy I only put on a couple of stone and lost it within 3 months without really trying (sickening, I know). I was breastfeeding, which makes a difference. With my second, I shot up to 10 stone 10 pounds (a 40% increase!!) - I'd been quite poorly during the second trimester, and had actually lost weight, so once I was better I think this was my body's way of compensating. Again I breastfed, and again the weight was all off after 3 months.

I think breastfeeding really helps, but you also have to make sure you eat healthy food, don't snack on rubbish, and get some exercise. I joined an exercise class that had a creche, and I also went out for a walk, pushing the buggy, every day, plus walking my daughter to and from school everyday (two miles every day).

with my first i put on 35kg, due to my morning sickness my diet wasnt always that healthy butit was just what I could hold down, and strange cravings. I also carried about 15kgs of fluid which i lost Immediately too, I was really puffy! was left with about 10-15 kgs to loose which was harder than i expected. Once I lost that and some more I fell pregnant with my daughter and only gained 12 kg, My son was 4.22kg and my daughter was 3,07kg and theweight came off on its own with breastfeeding. Now I am having my third and in the end of the first trimester as think i have just started to gain about 2-3kg but my clothes already feel more uncomfortable than my previous two pregnancies

Put on 20kg's, lost the 5/6kg's immediately within first few weeks but the rest of the weight is just staying regardlesss of diet or exercise. I have been told that your second child and being in your later 30's takes about 6 months to start shedding the pregnancy weight..i hope this is right then i only have a month to go:-)

I gained 50 lbs!!! This is not normal, nor is it the recommended amount of weight for the average pregnant woman to gain, but my Dr. said it was good for me. I am 5'2" and weighed 104 lbs. when I got pregnant, and 152 by the time I was full term. I was underweight when I got pregnant, so the extra weight gain was alright for me, according to my Dr., but it was not easy for me. Along with every pound I gained came self consciousness, I just felt so big and fat and unattractive. It was hard to get used to, but I got through it. You just have to realize it is a beautiful time, and cherish all of it that you can. I have breastfed my son since he was born, he is now 8 months old. It is possible to loose up to 500 calories a day from breastfeeding alone! I am sure that has played a huge role in my weight loss. I now maintain a weight between 110-115.

I gained 14 kg but did not loose anything after he was born, I ate too much! Told myself that breast feeding made me hungry! So I still have a way to go to loose the weight! Don't be too hard on yourself. As long as you are a good mother, who cares about a few extra pounds?

I gained almost 100 pounds with my son (only child). I went from about 148 (right before I found out I was pregnant) all the way to 243.5 (two days before I gave birth). I still have about 40 pounds to lose. Stress is a killer! I didn't think it would be this hard to lose the weight since I had lost 80 pounds just a couple years before I got pregnant (50lbs in 3 months and the remaining 30 in about a year or so)! Don't have any tips.. Sorry.

My first I put on 35kg. My second I ate nothing different to normal (before I was pregnant), drank lots of water and only put on 11kg. Watch what you eat straight after having the baby and I walked alot. Tummy exercises as soon as you can handle it.

Hi! I gained 45 lbs with my first baby (preggo again) and at 6 weeks I had lost 32 pounds due to the labor and breastfeeding. The remainder weight was the tricky weight to lose!!! As soon as I could (which for me was around 3 months) I started walking every day and then jogging a little after that and would do push-ups, crunchies and arm exercises. I don't lose weight easily so it took me a lot of consistency and dedication.

I gained 40 pounds with my first son (he weighed 9 lbs.), 35 with the second (he was early and weighed 7, 7) and 30 with the last one (my biggest at 9, 4). I did lose the weight, mostly because of breast feeding, I think. I could eat pretty much what I wanted during that time and still lost the weight. That, and the fact that I was chasing little boys around day may have had something to do with it. Trouble is, some of the weight crept back on after I stopped breast feeding because I kept eating at the same pace. It was a gradual process.

i went from under 100lbs to 175lbs during my first pregnancy, I went down to 140 less then a month later... Im finding the last weight a lil struggle, but im not working out so the fact Im losing it is pretty impressive, I however was not able to breastfeed, and before I got pregnant I was severly underweight ( I should have weighed at least 120lbs to begin with) the next pregnancy I plan to be alot smarter and not eat as if I was expecting octuplets, b/c even eating for two is a myth!!!

I gained 55 pounds with my first one- blaming that on moving back from overseas and living with my in-laws! Lost 40 of it between pregnancies, and gained 30 with my second. The baby is 16 months and I've lost all of this baby and half of what was left from the first one. It is coming off, but it takes dedication and a lot of hard work!

With my 2 year old son I only gained 18lbs... With my daughter i was lucky to gain 5lbs... I had lost all the baby weight from my son and with my daughter i only had to 2 pounds to loose after having her.. My son was born at 37 weeks at 6lbs and my daughter born at 36 weeks was 3lbs 8oz (she was small for her age. She also had gastroschisis. "insides where outside")

I don't actually know - I stopped letting them tell me after I gained 17 pounds. The last time I weighed I was within 8 pounds of pre-baby weight (my daughter just turned 9 months). Try eating small meals frequently and lots of water. Be as active, even mildly, as your doctor will allow.

with my first pregnancy i was underweight so the doctors said it was good i put on 30kg. i ended up being 75kg by the end. i was back down to 53kg by breastfeeding for 10 months and walking, when i became pregnant with my second son 7 months after the first. at the moment im about 68kg 11 months on but ive been told to keep it on so i dont become underweight again. being told that, made me a bit lazy and i regret it. the weight is mainly around the thighs and bum though, so i really only have belly overhang. chasing after the kids is always a great way to lose it, especially when they are as active as my eldest who will be 3 towards the end of the year. just cut down on fizzy drinks, desserts and chocolate n you will be fine. your body will lose the weight when it is ready.

I also just heard about this really cool video and book that I ordered check it out!!!! PLEASE! It really opened my eyes!! It is called "super fit mama" by tracey mallett. U will love it!!!

I gained about 35lbs with each of my boys. Breastfeeding helps but I really swear on drinking nothing but water for the first 3-4 months after giving birth, the sugar in soda, ice tea, and juice can really increase your daily caloric intake without eating. That worked for the first 25lbs, but the last 10I lost by elliminating dessert and yoga or pilates tapes for 20mins a day.
