I gained 65 lbs. My son Tyler was born on time weighing 9lbs 12oz @ 22 in. long. The weight slowly came off once I went back to work. Now that Ty is almost 4yrs old. I'm actually lighter than I was before I got pregnant. Windsor paletes did wonders for me!!

With my first pregnancy I gained around 80-85lbs.. due to fluid and severe preeclampsia. I had lost around 75 in 5 days, but most of that was water weight. The second pregnancy I only gained around 35. The fluid/preeclampsia was only mild with this one. Part of the weight gain with the first was due to the fact that I worked in a nursing home and worked up until the day I had the first baby...I stil carry around a few pounds from the second but not to bad.

I gained 70lbs with my firest pregnancy. I'm 5'9 and went from 133lbs-210lbs! This is my 2nd child 12 years after giving birth to the first one. And this time around at 7 months I've already gained 59lbs! I lost weight during the first pregnancy and got back down to my normal size by just being active and eating right. Plus, my diet was limited because my son was very sensitive to the things I ate before breastfeeding him. Just stay active. Everyone is different, so don't put yourself in a box!

I was a first time mom at 35 and gained 36 lbs total during my pregnancy. Breastfeeding, even though I only did it for about a month, helped me lose some of the weight. The rest was just being active and not stressing myself out about the extra weight. From what I've always heard it takes your body 2 - 3 years to return to normal (from a hormonal standpoint) after birth. Some women's hormones are closely linked to their weight depending on their chemical makeup, so it may take you longer than you like. Just be healthy in your eating, sleeping and exercise habits and you'll be fine. Being healthy for yourself, your baby and your family is the best thing you can do!

I gained 50 pounds with my son, but I was underwieght when I got pregnant. I didn't do anything really to "lose" the weight. But he's 4 months old now, and I've lost 30 pounds. I'm actually trying to keep the last 20 pounds on so I'm not underwieght anymore.

About 25 pounds in each pregnancy. I exercised through out both pregnancies and I ate healthy - no junk food or a ton of icecream, like so many moms allow themselves to do. After I had my kids, I walked a lot, and later I did other forms of exercise that focused on getting muscle back on my body. I also breasfed, like Tammy, for at least 6 months, maybe even more (until that first tooth came in and they bit down on me... That was it!! - LOL)

I had twins and due to the "high risk" pregnancy my doctor asked that I not exercise. I went from being extremely active to not at all and gained 60lbs! It took about 10 months to lose all the pregnancy weight. I had to make time to exercise and cut back on junk. Eat lots of fresh fruit and veggies. If I did it, so can you!

i gained 92 lbs. with my son, and 85 lbs. with my twin girls. be patient, eat healthy, and exercise. it took two years to lose the weight i gained with my son, but i was two sizes smaller when it was gone than what i was when i got pregnant. i'm still working on it from the girls, and they'll be 2 in march. the belly fat is tough to lose. but i work out every day, usually with the kids. being active with them is the best exercise. i did a post natal yoga video for a while that uses the baby as part of the work out. the kids all loved that. now i'm down to a seven, and i was a 3 when i got pregnant with the twins. it just takes work.

I gained 32 lbs with my son (my first, and only). I lost 22lbs of that within weeks of having him. Kept the extra 9-10 on for about a year until I was able to lose it within the last 6 months (plus 5 more) just by changing my diet. My body still looks NOTHING like it did before (he stretched the HECK out of my poor stomach and my boobs are a cup larger!) but when the hubby gets home from deployment, I'll have a little more time and energy to get back to working out!

My first only went to 22wks and I gained 40lbs! My second went to 41wks, and I gained 12lbs (had an 8lb 1oz baby, too). This time, I am about 37wks now, and have gained 6lbs so far...after losing 31lbs over the first 29 weeks of pregnancy.

Losing the weight after my first pregnancy was really hard because I lost the babies and it lead to a lot of issues. But I went vegetarian and walked once I got tired of the weight. With my daughter, I only had 1lb to lose after her and all the pregnancy related stuff was expelled. I just walked and stayed busy with her. Since I'm a bigger lady, I wanted to lose a little more than just the 1lb. I lost close to 50lbs in the year after my daughter was born.

It may not be true with all moms, but what worked for me to lose weight has always been eating vegetarian, walking, and putting my child first. Because I put Starr first so much, I wasn't able to take care of me (which I don't recommend) and that lack of attention to myself and staying on my feet all day to tend to her made the weight fall off.

i gained 50lbs, but i was a little underweight to start. after about 2 weeks I had lost 20lbs, most of which was baby and amniotic fluid (i had a lot of fluid). now, 6 weeks after giving birth i have lost 30lbs total and have 20 to get back to my pre-pregnancy weight, but most people tell me they wouldn't know i had just had a baby. i haven't been doing a whole lot, just breastfeeding and walking. but i do think what you ate during pregnancy and what you eat now has a big impact on weight gain and loss.

Didn't gain anything but 7 lbs til 6 months, then after that I gained 35!! my son is 8 weeks and i have less than 10. I attribute all of the weight loss to BFing... It's awsome!! I do go for walks when it's warm enough but it's rare around here...

I went from 142 up to 168. Right after the baby, I lost 10 pounts instantly. A lot of it was water. After that, I started to eat 4-5 small meals a day, protein shakes, took plenty of vitamins, and after my 6 weeks check up, started to work out at the gym. lightly at first until about 8-9 weeks after I had my son I kicked it up a notch. started going in about 5 times a week. Make sure to drink plenty of water!! That helps your body a great deal. Hope these tips helped you! :)

Hi crystal!

I gained 60 pounds in my pregnancy, and it was all from 6 months on, with 13 pounds in one month. I was about 170 lbs after birth. I had a slow recovery for the first 2 weeks due to a 3rd degree tear, but, once i was up and moving, I immediately started pilates in my home for 30 min per day. I also grabbed my stoller and started running for 30 minutes as well. It took about 6 months to loose the weight, but it worked. I went back to my size ( with better looking curves) and felt great!
Keeping a great diet is hard, but most important. Increase your fruit and veggie consumption ( to help raise your metabolism) and also add more fibre.

Good luck!

i lost and gained very little to my due date i was 9stone 4lbs at my due date and lost even more after it.I guess i was lucky this time around and lost it all in a matter of 8weeks.But my weight loss was due to complications during the preg and from the emerge c-section i got as well.My first preg was a very healthy one and i gained about 2stone and lost it gradually up to my little girls first birthday.Just healthy eating and some light exercise when able will help you after having the baby.good luck

It varies from person to person, i was lucky when i had my son. I was underweight when i found out i was pregnant, gained about 25 pounds, and lost about 15 pounds after about 6 months. I had no strechmarks either. Then my second pregnancy came along and I gained about 30 pounds and got a few strechmarks, and i had maybe lost 5 pounds and she is 9 months now! I cant seem to lose anything now, no diet can help me.

I gained 50 pounds. My OB recommended that I gain 25 pounds and now I know why. The first 25 pounds came off without any effort. My son is 3 years old and I am still struggling to get the rest of the weight off. I need to exercise and be more careful about what I eat. Anytime I slack off I start gaining weight again. I know a lot of moms that join groups like weight watchers and that helps them get the rest of the weight off.

I put on 24kg with my first one and lost it in 6 months due to breastfeeding and lots of walking due to not having a drivers license. Second one i put on 26 kg and a year after I still had about 5 kg left to pre pregnancy weight (as I now drive...) when I got pregnant again. So far I have only put on about 4 kg at 20 weeks but add it to the other 5 and the fact that I have another 20 weeks to go I should probably put on over 20 kg again...

My 2nd (he's9 months) I gained 65 lbs & lost almost all of it by watching what I eat & working out I have about 10 more lbs to go & am planning on doing a 5k in June so that should do the trick! I suggest that no one gain that much it's so hard to loose!! Don't try this @ home kids! (-;

Ha, tooo much! My 1st pregnancy- 42lbs, 2nd- 38lbs, and 3rd- 22lbs. I really struggled to get it off after my 3rd pregnancy because my last two children are 13 months apart. I went to my doctor who put me on a fat blocker for 30 days to get the weight loss kick started and he sent me to a dietian who was very informative. I currently use this website: http://www.fatsecret.com to put it in my face what I'm eating and what exercise I'm doing. It doesn't work for everyone, but for me this is the best way to be honest with myself about eating right and exercising.

i gained 43 pounds and worked out the entire time. i even worked out the day i went into labor. I walked a lot too and towards the end i was walking for shorter periods of time because i had to pee so much. i also would go to the gym and do the eliptical and light weight training at home. doing that all helped my LDR, and now my weight is melting off. I hardly have a belly and delived 8 days ago. breastfeeding also works wonders!!!!!!!!!!!!!! not just for your baby , but it burns lots of calories it is amazing you can feel you uterus shrinking at times when you nurse. So basiclly just eat healthy i mean you will have your days where that isn't happening, but take care of yourself and after you deliver also eat healhty and rest. once you are recovered you can begin to work out and and watch the weight melt away.

Each pregnancy is different, with my daughter I actually lost 100 pounds and after I had her I was 120 pounds lighter than my pre-prego weight. I was also extremely sick with with her for almost 8 months, I couldn't stand the smell of food cooking, it made me sick, I would lock myself in the bedroom while my husband cooked dinner! I have gained back 20 pounds in the 8 months since I had my daughter, but I am trying to take that back off. I would just recommend watching what you eat while prego and after and exercise. Breastfeeding also helps take the pregnancy weight off and if your child is like mine and just won't nurse, pumping does the same thing.

It is a myth that they say "you have to eat for two now when you are pregnant. I believed that even though I didn't have a big appetite, I eat all my meals regulary. with my first pregnancy I gain 20 pounds fortunately I lost it all in the following months. with my second one I gained almost 40 pounds i had a c-section in my second pregnancy, I couldn't loose all the weight though. So now I joined a gym to help me be back in my body. Good luck with yours.

i gained a total of 18 pounds this last pregnacy, my third 20 pounds, my second about 18 and my first i did about 28 pounds( i could afford to gain that much back then i was younger and weighed less than i do know). i got all of it off the first and second time, but after my second c-section with baby #3 it was kind of hard and after my third c-section with baby #4 it was harder. i walked everyday for 30-45 minutes and just watched what i eat. i lost 10 of the 18 pounds that i gained so far. still working at it. very challenging.

well, I put on 19 kilos for my first daughter, 27 kilo's for my second, and 33kilo's for my third daughter. I was slim pre pregnancy, but as soon as I became pregnant, the weight just kept piling on, due to my constant hunger and cravings for anything that resembled food, i didn't have any will power. After each of the pregnancy, I waited for the 8 week check up and booked myself at weight watchers, went to the gym 3-4 times a week (took the baby with me) as they had child minding for the hour, and did this religiously until the weight came off which took about 7-8 months. My attitude was get straight into it (after your post checkup and doctor says it's Ok) and look forward to becoming the yummy mummy sooner rather than putting it off years later, when it gets harder. Also I did it sensibly. I know some friends whose attitude was, that they would have the kids first then think about losing the weight, wrong move!! they are now in their late 40's metabolism is slower and they have up to 30kilo's to lose.

I gained 20kg. But I lost 15kg of it within a week after giving birth. I was carrying a lot of fluid so the weight just fell off. Breastfeeding helped with the rest. Dont stress too much about gaining weight while you're pregnant, people will understand! And don't ignore any naughty cravings, thats when the food tastes the best!
