Not trying to scare anybody but water from tap is highly contaminated with a lot yucky, dangerous stuff. There was a recent episode of the Dr. Oz show discussing this. It was very scary. When I give my kids a bath, I do it as quickly as possible so that they don't spend as much time in the water and I only give them a bath every 3 days.

I bath my baby every other day or sometimes every two days. I used to bath him everyday and found that his skin dried out and I dont like to use too many products on his skin. They dont get dirty and sweaty like us so they dont need a bath everyday. I do give my baby a little wash between baths using plain water and cotton wool. I also alternate between using lotion and oil but not after every bath/wash. Hope this helps you.

Every other day. (sometimes I have gone 2 days) It dries their skin out. But I suppose if you use moisturizers it would be fine.

It's the stuff you put in the bath that dries the skin - until they're crawling and actually getting grubby, you don't need to use soap, bubbles etc etc - just a nice warm sploosh. I bathed my babies every day, but if for some reason it wasn't possible (travelling, ill, whatever), then I certainly didn't lose sleep over it. Topping and tailing is fine (wash face and bottom only) every once in a while.

I love giving my son baths but then he doesn't want to get out.He kinda makes a noise that means NO!!!Anyway I would give my son a bath on Monday,Wednesday and Friday which is every other day then leave the weekend without no bath.He loves the bath and tries to get in the bathtub when the water is running. But with that routine his skin never dried out and he smelled so good all the time and he was clean.Hope this helps you out.

I was told by a nurse that every second day is good because it doesn't dry their skin. Just need to clean their privates really well every day. But yeah, I do take a bath with my baby every day since she was 4 months, I only use soap every second day. Dad brings her to me in the bathtub, and then comes and gets her when we're done and I get to relax in the bath for 30 mins while he gets her ready for bedtime ! It does help the baby fall alseep and gives me a nice break !

If your doing it for a routine then I think it's fine as long as there skin doesn't dry out too much. What we did was waited till he was dirty, I think he got a bath once every week or every other week.

I guess it depends on your baby and even where u live, but my sons skin dried out so I only bathed him every other day. He's now almost 3 and unless he's dirty, he still only baths every other day. But I do have a friend who's alwz been OCD on the bathing thing and she's given her son a bath up to 3 times a day. Do what you think is right... ur mama instincts will let u know! Happy Holidays!

As a mother of 6 children, I didn't bathe my kids till their umbilical cord falls off. Afterwhich, I bathe them every few days or so. I can tell they need a bath when their hair starts getting a little greasy. Once you're able to bathe your baby more regularly, you can establish that as a bedtime routine. Most kids thrive on routines. Your baby's adorable! God bless.

My son is 4 weeks old and I haved bathed him daily since 1 week old. It's part of his bedtime routine and it helps him sleep better. Just use lotion and she should be fine.
