OMG I am always doing it, every day,I guess b/cI have a W/D in the basement. We are 2 adults 2 kids 1 cat. I am very picky about clean towels/sheets/blankets so that really adds to the loads.

We reuse our towels each about three times.
And I don't wash my pants until they get actually dirty, and will rewear shirts if I wasn't sweating etc that day. I think we have fairly small amount of clothes being washed in the end.

Two adults and one 8 month old. I do a load of diapers every other night, and I try to make Monday my laundry day where I do linens and our clothes. I usually end up with a load drifting over into Tuesday though.
And my little one pees on the changing table quite frequently so if she's on a roll that week I usually do an extra load so we have enough waterproof pads.

Once..... it started about 24yrs ago and has never ended... (ok ok not to funny)
When I was working full time, Saturday was laundry day. Usually 4-6 loads depending of the time of year (2 adults 2 children) now, I work part time and my husband works out of town during the week so there is really just laundry for myself and a 4yr old.... so usually two loads a week ... I do a load when ever I have enough of any one thing to wash so it might take awhile to get my blouses washed, but all of the kid's cloths hit the machine weekly

There are 5 of us, 2 adults and 3 kids (3,5,& 7) I probably do a load every other day to keep it under control. Slack weeks I leave it a few days and it's too overwhelming to walk into the laundry.

As less as possible may every 3 weeks! Yes I have alot of clothes to wash! I hate laundry

[deleted account]

Two adults and 2 young boys in this house! I do about 2 loads a day. I prefer to keep my load size smaller. I go through A LOT of dish towels a day. I have a horrible habit of only being able to use them about two or three times. Then I generally do a load of kids clothes. Having two little boys their clothes get extra dirty and I want to make sure that nothing stains!

Unique situation in my house. 5 live here, fiance, my 16 yo son, his 25 yo son, his gf and me. Step and gf do their own when they run out.

Son does his own most of the time.

Fiance is over the road so his comes back once a week with him. I try to have all my laundry done when he gets home. I wash about 2 a week for me and then his makes 2 as well.

Living in the country, unless it is rainy season, I can wear the jeans twice before they are washed. I normally wash 4 to 5 pairs of jeans at a time twice a week.

Every single day I do at least a load of colors. Whites every three or four days, sheet load on the weekend. We have two adults and a teenage boy. There are gym clothes daily and my husband is in construction so there is not much that gets worn twice. At least we have a front loader now. It saves a bundle of water.

Hi Laura,
I pull whatever I am going or my whatever my kids are going to wear that day out of the dryer. So when the dryer is almost empty its time for another load. ha ha {:+)

There are five of us, but my eldest is about to graduate college, so she mostly does her laundry at school. I do laundry every day, buy kids often forget to bring me their dirty dtuff, so they still complain about having nothing to wear.

Family of four. We have a 5 yr old and a three yr old (both girls) and it feels like the laundry NEVER ends. I have decided that the girls must change their clothes five times a day or something lol Of course they are into the dress- up phase, but even with actual dress up clothes, they still change the real clothes too. I do laundry about every three days and it will be a complete load of whites and a complete load of darks. Of all the chores I do, I think I hate FOLDING the most!

There are 10 in our house and I do laundry all the time. I try to take off on Sundays and less gets done on busy days. 2-3 loads a day, mostly kids clothes. Mine get done once a week and my hub's work clothes and all the towels I do twice a week. Just when I think I'm on top of it some sweet child will clean out their closet floor or under their bed and suddenly its overwhelming again. My cousin calls it Mount Washmore.

But since I love all these little people so much (and I enjoy being able to walk through the mud room as opposed to climbing - which happens) guess I'll go put something in the washer. ;)

we got 2 adults, a 7 year old girl, a 2.5 yo boy and a 9 month old. I do laundry every 2 days, starting to program the washing machine to finish the first load of nappies at 7 AM, then load whites, hang out, load colours and then all my space is taken up outside. I hang by person, so in the evening I fold straight off the line, put in the baskets and distribute into everybody's closets. works pretty well for me. if I don't do it straight away though, it might end up in the laundry for days... waiting to be put away... :)

I'm constantly doing laundry! I get upset if I don't do at least one or more loads a day. The problem is that I'm not good at putting the clean clothes away, until it's over flowing. It's just my husband & I, & my 4 year old.

I do my laundry on Monday (or Tues. if it didn't get finished). I usually do 3-4 loads - whites, colors (I separate lights and darks), and towels. I have a laundry organizer that I seperate our clothes in by loads. If one of the bins isn't full it waits till the following week. Sometimes I lump in rugs, curtains, and sheets on those days but usually they're washed when I'm cleaning that specific room. I found having a specific laundry day keeps people from running out of underwear or socks and I'm never behind on laundry.
We have 2 adults and 18mo. girl

[deleted account]

2 adults 16 month twins. I do laundry everyday by choice. It is not good for the septic system to do all of the laundy all at once.

My husband and I share a short rectangle laundry hamper, and each of my girls have a pop-up hamper (I have 2 girls) and whenever a hamper's nearing full that's when it gets cleaned. On top of that I also cloth diaper my girls so that's a load that gets done more often, usually every day to every other day. Now that my husband is deployed, my hamper gets done about once a week and my girls get theirs done I'd say about once a week also. So there's approximately 3 loads of clothes a week and anywhere from 5-7 loads of cloth diapers a week. So my washing machine can be run up to 10 times a week, more when my husband is home.

Great question...ya know really it depends upon my mood:) On average, two loads every other day. There's 2 adults & 3 kiddies!

[deleted account]

Usually on the weekends, but if we spend a lot of time working in the yard or at the barn, then it's a load or two during the week. There are two adults and two want to be adults (teens) in my house!

I'm so jealous of you only doing 1 or 2 loads a week! I wish I knew your secret. It's just my husband and me and our 2 yr. old daughter, but I have at least 5 or 6 loads that I do every weekend. My husband works in the woods, so he wears a long sleeve/pants outfit to work and changes when he gets home, so perhaps that's why we have so much. So I'll do his clothes separate from my good work clothes, and then our daughters things I'll do separately too. She'll always have 2 loads: one of clothes and one of her sheets, blankets, towels, and bibs. Plus I do a load of cloth diapers each week too. Then throw in the adult sheets and towels - each a load, and then every so often you've got your kitchen towels and dishrags, plus we have other rags that we mop or clean up spills with...it all equals a weekend's worth of non-stop laundry. Not very fun for mom, but I'd rather do that than mow the grass/take out the trash/or any of my husband's duties.

There's 3 of us and I do a load when there's enough clothing for a full load and I remember to fill the washer/move items to the dryer. There's usually a load or two somewhere in the process (washer, dryer, basket waiting to be folded) everyday. If I had to guess, I'd say 4 loads a week during the summer, probably 3 during the winter as DH tend to sweat buckets in the summer and changes often/showers twice daily.
