funny how all these babies/infants were sleeping thru the night all the way straight were they didnt wake up at all sorry but as for infants they don't sleep all night long they wake up constinetly for feedings and diaper changes and to just cry so idc who says there 2week old or 5 month old slept thru the night thats a lie. straight up cuz kids dont start sleeping straight hrs a night not waking up at all until they are like 8 months old and my son is 11 months old and still wakes up several times a night and he naps every day for short times and he gets plenty of air with it being nice out and is full every night and still doesnt sleep all night long some kids dont do it til there like 2 yrs old so these people are insane when they say there infants slept thru the night yeah right. keep dreaming. my son Elijah he started at 12 months old and hes 8 yrs old now my daughter hannah started at 2 yrs old and shes 5 yrs old now and my son jordan well hes the 11 month old that still dont sleep thru the night. so its somewhere between a yr and 2 yrs old and if not by 2 then your doing something wrong not feeding your kid enough not letting them get naps in not letting them run around enough or leaving them stay up til 4am or letting them sleep til 10 am sorry kids arnt adults like us yeah we can sleep in til 10am but every kid should be up at 8am the latest and go to bed by 8pm the latest schools to keep in mind and also good routine and meal times
have a nice day everyone :D

My daughter is now 16 months old and still will not sleep through the night. She always wakes up and comes into our bed, or wakes up looking for her bottle or teddy.

Through the night is subjective here, lol... When she was 5 months old sometimes she'd sleep for 5 hours straight, which was heaven. But actally sleeping all night... not until about 8 months old.

Mine was 2 months old.. i remember it well because it scared me.. i had woke up the next morning and ran to her crib and she was smiling at me, i thought that i just didn't hear her thru the night, because she slept for almost 12 hours straight :) has been doing it every since :)

I am 60 a mother of 5 grandmother of 11 greatgrandmother of 2 and everyone was different
As an example I never did sleep the night through as a child or adult 4 -5 hrs max
my oldest son was sleeping 10 hrs straight by 7 weeks and still does at 41 but his daughter is now 12 and doesn't get any more than 5 hrs at a crack
So you tell me WHAT is the Norm
you just have to adjust and get your rest in catnaps whenever you can
Good Luck

my son is 25 months old and still wakes up twice for his bottle... I envy those who have babies that sleep through the night :)

She was sleeping through the night (6-7 hours) around 9weeks. Then we went through growth spurts and teething which messed everything up! Around 19 months, she returned to sleeping all night (11 hours), every night..

My son was 9 weeks early and was in the NICU for 5 weeks. We had to wake him up every 3 hours to eat until he was 2 1/2 months old when he started waking himself up. He began sleeping through the night at about 4 months old.

My daughter was born a month early and I had to wake her every 3 hours for a couple weeks after she came home from the NICU. At 3 mos she was sleeping 8 hours. At 4 mos she was sleeping 9 hours which is my fiance an my sleep schedule. She just started waking at 5 am and then sleeping until 7 or 8....I think the change was due to us moving to 2 different places in the course of a month. Hope she gets used to it soon!

I don't remember the exact age, but I'm thinking it was about 9 or 10 weeks old or so.

My daughter started at 2 weeks sleeping 6 hours, 4 weeks sleeping 10 hours a night. At 8 weeks she was up to 12 a night. Now at 18 months she does 13 a night with a 3 hour nap. She LOVES her sleep!
