My little girl Chloe has just turned 1 and is not even standing by herself..... so I'm wondering at what ages did your kids do this and when did they start walking

My Paisley is almost 15 mnths and has been walking maybe 3 weeks! All babies reach milestones at different ages! For example my niece started walking at 7 months, and my friends baby is 15 months and not evem trying to walk yet! So Your doing great, no worries at all!

my lill madam started to walk in a space of two days when she was 14mnths an thats only cos she wanted to no one could make her do it lol i think she would have walked at christmas but her burn on her leg held her back the little pudding

My little girl wouldn't walk by herself until almost 17 months old. She would walk if we held her hand, but as soon as we let go she would sit down.

My first daughter at 9 months. Second child, a son, at 8 months......just beacuse he wanted to keep up with his 3 yr old sister. The 3rd, another daughter, 11 months 1 week, because the other kids carried her around all the time! My son was a climber and was all over the place...very daring. The girls were more cautious. Good luck!

My first one walked at nine months. The second one didnt even crawl until 10 1/2 months. All children are different. If you are concerned talk to your peditrician.

My daughter was 18 months before she truly walked. We finally figured out that the floors in our house was the culprit. They are very hard and with no carpet to soften the fall she decided to wait.

they are all different, don't worry just encorage her and she will take off when she is ready. My daughter walked at 8 months, just stood up one day and was off. My son didnt get it together until 15 months, they both had the same activities and stimulation.

my daughter is nearly 11 months and starting walking shortly after turning 10 months!
All kids are different and that goes with many things in life - some get teeth at 6 months some get them at 10 months! It doesn't mean there is anything wrong with your daughter! My friend's daughter didn't start walking till she was 17 months old and she was perfectly healthy. Gosh your baby walking opens your world up in a whole different way - they get into everything they couldn't before!!! Hope this helps you - don't stress your daughter will do it in her own time. She's just teasing you and will do it when you least expect it!!!!

I have 4 children and they all walked at different ages. The eldest was walking at 1 year and 2 weeks, the second didn't crawl until 2 days before her 1st birthday and then was 1 year and 7 months before she walked, the third was walking at only 10 months and the fourth was walking at 1 year and 2 months. All did it in their own time when they were ready, even though they all had the same encouragement.

my boys walked early. my nephew on the other hand is 13 mos. and doesn't want to stand alone...much less walk. he's very strong & sturdy.l it's not that he can't. hand him a toy, distract him & you'll see him take a few steps. could this be the case with your daughter. either way, she will soon enough...give her time. every child is different.

My eldest walked at 13 months , my youngest the day before his first birthday. Every child is different so don't worry. it'll happen. And then you'll be running around everywhere after them!!!

My son was a little over 14 months old when he started to walk. And once he realized what he could do, he just started to take off and there's been no stopping him since!
She still has plenty of time, I was told most start to walk between 13 and 17 months of age, but every child is different, just be patient with her!

my son started walking at 8 and half months, I bought him the vtech sit to stand walker and i think it really helped him to become more skilled, cause he wasn't afraid of falling it's a great toy, got it on walmart.com

I have three children my oldest (girl) walked at 11 1/2 mos. my middle child (girl) walked at 15 mos. and my youngest (son) walked at 14 mos. They all do it when they are good and ready, which BTW they are teenagers now and still only do things when they are good and ready lol

all children are different, and if she just turned one you have nothing to worry about at all. I have been in the child care business for 18 years, Ive seen children walk at 9 months and some not walk until 15 months. If she rolls over, sits up, scoots or crawls shes developing right on track. enjoy it while you can, because once she's walking watch out nothing and no one is safe. lol! I have a 13 month old in my daycare now, she pulls herself up, and has let go once or twice now, just started to do this.

My daughter was 14 months when she started walking. I think she started later because she loved to crawl so much! Plus! she could crawl quicker then she could walk.

dont worry my oldest son didnt walk until he was 17 months old and he caught up with his age froup just fine. my youngest son though was walking at 13 months. a sibling definately helps speed things along.

my baby was 10months when he walked that was my first baby my second baby walked at 10 months too my thirda baby the same my fourth baby did not walk till he was over 1 yr old my fifth baby walked 9 months and my last 6th baby she walked at 10 months

My oldest son was 10.5 months old when he started alking, my 2nd son was 9 months old and my youngest was just over a year old when he started walking. I hope this helps, all kids learn to do everything at a different age and rate don't worry before you know it she will be running and leaving you exhausted.

Both of my sons were almost 14 months old before they walked. My sons are now age 18yr and 4yr. Everyone learns at a different rate. Your little one is not late!

Both children were 16 months. The first time I freaked out. By the 2nd time, I was much more relaxed. And, of course, both of them are normal in all ways.

My daughter was 10 1/2 months old. She crawled for a little bit but we have a sectional couch and that helped her move around alot so one day she got brave and let go! and had not stopped since!!

my youngest son is 9 months old (38wks) and had been standing/furniture walking for approx a month. Not walking by himself but its much earlier than his older brother, Oliver (now 4 yrs old) started walking a week before his first birthday. He never crawled, cant remember when he started furniture walking.Both used a baby walker as soon as they could sit up, got them used to being on they feet and moving around. Strenthened they legs (i think) but i know other mums are against walkers due to fears over bandy legs.
But ho-hum i guess every child does things in they own pace.

My daughter is turning 1 in a couple of day's and she started walking at 10month3weeks old. I think there is no need to worry....some babies don't walk until 18 months. Besides once he starts walking....its a lot harder..having to keep running after them and picking up messes...ahhhh it seems never ending.

my son trent started standing on his own at 7 months and walking at 8 months all i did to help him is held his hands and tryed to help him stand then he started to do it on his own after a while then when she gets that down then try to help her walk the same way is better if you have two people then she can try to walk from one person to the other

Oh gosh...my oldest walked at 8 months to the day...
My youngest? He was stubborn and liked Mommy to carry him lol He walked at 13 months.
It seemed like he would never walk because I was expecting him to be like his brother lol

well all babies are different my daughter started crawling at 10mths, standing by 11mths and cruiseing by about 12 - 13mths then she took her first steps unaided at 14mths and was walking properly by about 16mths.
my son though he was crawling at 8 and a half months, standing by 9mths and cruising by 9 and a half months, then he took his first steps at 13mths but wasn't fully walking till 15 and a half months. I do also know of 2 people in my family (my brother and my cousins son) who weren't walking fully unaided till they were 19mths old.

All babies are different, it's not really fair to compare them because every one develops differently.
However, since you asked, and I just LOVE talking about my son :-), Caedyn turns one on May 4th, and he started walking at just about 11 months. He's been standing on his own since about 8 months, getting stronger and stronger the whole time.

my eldest didnt walk til about 13 months, my middle child walked about 12 months, yet my youngest was walking at 9 months. every child is different. My friends little baby is just starting to walk now and he was 1 in december.
