how to get a 2 year old to eat breakfast?

Kids will not starve. They will eat when they are hungry, and drive the parents crazy making them think something is wrong and they have to eat more. They totally go through stages of eating like crazy, not eating at all....picking at food, and hating the food that they JUST loved yesterday. Totally normal. But, it can make you feel like banging your head against a brick wall.

Yeah I agree that at 2 they can become pretty picky. My 3 and 5 year old boys both went through that stage. I would just make sure she is at least staying hydrated if she isn't eating much. Try to give her finger foods that you know she likes, so at least you know she is eating something. Leave it out and when she is hungry she will eat.

Did your pediatrician mention the Toddler Appetite stage to you? Mine warns parents as the child turns 2. It sounds like she's got it! My 3 year old nephew is the pickiest eater ever - but he eats when he's hungry. Basically toddlers just get so busy with other stuff they're not worried about eating. It's really common.
I recommend not worrying about it unless your pediatrician is worried about her weight. She'll eat when she's hungry - and forcing her to eat otherwise can create bad eating habits for life.
