im having a really hard time getting rid of my baby weight and ive definitely put on about 15 pounds in the last 2 months. its really discouraging. ive always been a little self conscious about my body but before i got pregnant i had been loosing weight pretty well and looked better then ever. i didnt gain a whole lot while i was pregnant and i dont have stretch marks but i still do have some extra skin. i had a c-section so for the first month or so i didn't get to do much but lay around with the baby. and now im still not working so i dont get out of my house much. ive been working out every once and a while but its hard to find time to and ive been trying to eat healthy but raising the baby on my own has been putting some stress on me and ive been hitting the chocolate pretty hard.... now that the weather is finally starting to get better ive been able to go on a few walks with my daughter but i was wondering if anyone had any other ideas to help? im breastfeeding and im not sure what kind of dieting is ok?

It's so hard with the weather being cold and being tired all the time because of the sleepless nights, all you want to eat is chocolate!! My baby is 5 months and i'm so glad the weather is getting better now so we can go for little walks. I joined weight watchers 6 weeks ago and have lost 23 1/2 pounds. I'm also breastfeeding which i think is why the weight seems to be dropping off. It's really easy because you get to eat a lot more points when you're breastfeeding!!
I also had a c-section so my stomach is still sticking out but i'm finally fitting back into my old clothes which is a lovely feeling.

I feel like I tried everything. It used to be really easy to lose weight, and after I had my son, although I managed to not gain weight during pregnancy I put on about 40 pounds as a bored depressed housewife. The gym and being a vegetarian knocked off about 15 pounds but 18 months later I was still a chunk. Recently my boyfriend bought me an elliptical of my very own, because its so hard to make it to the gym with everything else going on, I mean, with drive time and hour work out turns into 2 hours of time I don't have. Having my own elliptical is AWESOME. I can just on it every time I get a spare minute and it adds up to way more than I would be working out at the gym everyday. It's working wonders. Even if you don't want to buy a machine, every time you get a spare minute work out, jumping jacks calisthenics, whatever you feel like doing. Also, any reasonable diet should be fine while you're breastfeeding. You're body will leech anything it needs from your body, as long as you aren't starving yourself, taking in adequate fluids and vitamins you should be fine.

I'm having the same problem. My son is going to be 5months old on the 12th and i gained 20pounds while i was pregnant with him and i lost most of it pretty easily but then lately I gained it all back trying to work out. Me and my husband bought a Wii game system to see if that would help at all, we have the biggest loser game but since i put all the weight back on, i completely gave up on trying. I don't get out much either but when I do, I don't want to go straight back home after I picked up what I needed to get. I never breastfed any of my kids( I have 2, a girl and a boy).

The most important thing is to eat healthy. I breastfeed too, my son is about to turn two, and I found he liked alot of motion when falling asleep so I started using an exercise ball while nursing him to sleep. I tried to keep my back straight sholders back and down, and I whould try to concentrate on certain muscles sometimes my belly curving my hips forward on an upward bounce, and then my bum using only my quads to bounce me up. Later when my father in law so lovingly purchased me a three wheel stoller I was able to run on the beach, you just have to make everything you do a concious workout think about what muscles you are using all the time.

Eat well. Brown rice retains more of the nutrients, sweet potato is an awesome complex carb, eat as many veggies as you can handle. I try to avoid bread unless is it gluten free,I have switched to Agave nectar instead of sugar but at least try to avoid fake sweeteners. Drink tons and tons of water, no soda.

The thing to remember when you get overloaded is you are a woman, you are made to do this! And you can. We are the vikings, we HAVE the babies. It is an amazing rollercoaster, enjoy the ride. :) Good luck
