My two are 16 months apart, and it works great for us :)

Like Holly says, the early months with all the sleepless nights, nappies etc are pretty intense but pass quickly. My kids are now 5 and 6 and are the best of friends, they keep each other busy and really get a lot out of their close relationship.

Congratulations and good luck x

well, don't vew it as a bad thing... you are lucky.... your kids will be so close in age they will be able to play together, hand me downs will be used right away (if they are the same age). potty training can be done all at once! my kids are only 11 months apart. I know from experience that it is easier now... the restless nights and the crying and buying soo many diapers and constant feeding may be hard at first.... but that goes quick... teach them to walk early... that way you aren't having to carry 2 babies everywhere... my first baby walked at 9 months so i just held her hand while we crossed the street or parking lot... while i carried her baby sister. but now they are 8 & 9yo and it is HEAVEN not having to find something to keep one busy so i can get things done... they keep themselve's busy
