I am trying to start up a boutique style bow business. I am just starting up and am really into it but I haven't made much in sales. I was hoping some of you might check out the bows and give me some feedback on their style, color and price. If you think the price is unreasonable, what do you think would be reasonable and if you don't like the colors, what colors, etc..Thanks for any replies it will help tremendously! www.bowsywowsy.etsy.com

most of them look like they are for gifts wraped n i guess just two look like they are for the head or dress. They are cute though regardless of the use. I think you need to know which market you are targeting then lok at other competitors on the market. Good luck

Okay - sorry last post I promise lol
How about an option to have custom made bows? I'm thinking if someone had a wedding and wanted flower girls or something they may have some specific colours in mind - also you could do some really pretty white bows for christenings.

Ohh and another idea - how about themed bows? Perhaps an American styled bow, Halloween style, Christmas style etc

I think they are gorgeous and I like the range of colours. However there is a lot of competition and I'm sure I've seen similar items a little cheaper. Perhaps you could do an offer where if you buy two then you get a small discount? A larger range maybe? Are there any other items you could make and sell along side them? I'm thinking maybe you could bulk buy plain little socks and dye them and add ribbons/bows - also you could show different ways to wear the them, like in the hair or they could be used to pin back the front of a cute hat as an accessory. Would you be able to attatch some to head bands? I think that would also be cute or adding the bows to hair ties. Good luck

Melisa, a few suggestions, first I love the bows if I had a little girl I would buy them. 2nd where do you buy your supplies? If you can shop at a Hobby Lobby that may help lower your cost, And can reduce each bow by 1 dollar or 50 cents to make them a little more competative. Every week (I have only seen 1 week where it has not been on sale) Ribbon by the spool is 50% off, this includes fabric, floral, wedding and I am almost sure seasonal ribbon. Every other week or so in the sunday paper and on the hobby lobby web site is a 40% off coupon good for 1 item/day, there are some very cute embelishments to put in the centers. but all and all I think they are lovely. Good Luck
