I am looking for unique baby name suggestions. Not weird, or made up, but rarely used ones.

I've always love the name "Thea".  Not sure of the origin or meaning, but I think it's sweet and elegant.  Teamed with a simple 1 syllable middle name (such as Kate).  Or another personal favourite of mine is Keeley Eryn.  "Estella" is also gorgeous.  Good Luck!!

I had a baby 3 months ago and was wanting something not so over used but my boyfriend had his heart set on Kaitlyn. I told him he could have the name but not the spelling so we went with the least common spelling of Caitlin. Now instead of being known as Kate M. she'll be known as Cate with a "C" through school.

I'll throw my kiddos names out there:

Alexander Neal - nickname: Alec

Annelise Dawn - nickname: Elise/Lise/Leesi

Caitlin Bree - nickname: Cate/Catie

Brock, Brady and Jack, I think they are strong independent names for boys.

Jaylynn, Prezlee and Jessa, I think they're unique without making it complicated for them when they get older!

All these names are from friends and family, so I know they work and the kids stand out and are memorable. This helps induce self esteem right out of the gate! Good luck with your pick!

Cephira Marie (se-fur-a) Isaiah LaVerne, Jebediah Franklin, Lilyiah Alice (Lil-e-yah) and Azeriah Raymond. All their first names are from the Bible -- and middle names are named after family. There are a lot of uniquie names in the bible - A LOT -- some that are super crazy! lol Good luck with a name - i wouldnt worry too much about it- we sat two days in the hospital with Jeb and then Azer when they were born trying to find a name! So for two days they were known as Boy Knott -- but it was nice too because when we found names we liked we would try it on him, and finally one name suited them, and we knew it was the one -- so dont worry about jumping the gun-- take your time and the right name will ring the bell!

We named our son Gage, but it's getting to be pretty popular. We almost named him Enzo (Italian) because my husband is a huge Ferreri fanatic. My daughter's name is Elliana (Ellie-on-uh). If she would have been a boy her name would have been Blade.

While I love the name Hazel. Hazell is the last name, so that would probably be a bit much.(It would be funny though.)

Hazel or Riley were names we had in line for our daughter (decided on Amelia). Tereze (with a macron over the middle e to make it sound like an a ) is her middle name after my mum Teresa. One of my best friends named her daughter Lyrique (Lyric). I like my cousins daughters name: Eden.

my eldest daughter is called Cadence too! her middle name is Amalie (am-a-lee). my youngest is called Shia (shy-a) it's actually a male film stars name, but we thought it was more feminine!! her middle name is Essen, which is what i wanted her first name to be, but i was out voted!! i like Memphis Raine! another name we had was Presley, (husband is a huge elvis fan!!) good luck picking a name Christine! :)

Love the name Reagan for a girl. My boys are Parker and Carson but those could by girls names too I suppose. Try looking in the phonebook at last names, last names are fun and not too strange...just don't go too Hollywood!

We regret not calling our 2nd daughter Arwen (Arwyn). We thought it might be too ethereal but turns out she could have pulled it off.

I really like the names Emerson and Brynn for a girl....my husband was not a fan of either of these, so our daughter's name is Savannah...I didn't think it was real uncommon, but I have heard from several people they have never heard it before. My husband really likes Liam for a Boy, but that is becoming a more common name.

Hi, I named my daughter Emerald Paige. I just love the name and she is my most precious jewel! Other names we considered were Liberty "Libby" Skye or Jade Skye. For a boy, I like Scout or I know of a boy named Tripp, which I think is really unique. If I ever had another girl, I would name her Lilly Grace. I think it is beautiful. I have three nieces named Presley Lynn, Ramsie Lynn, and Makenzie Lynn. My sister's name is Amy Lynn. Good Luck!

I love odd and unique baby names and named my 4 year old Ireland Hope. Until a child recently moved to my town, I had only ever heard or seen the name once-Kim Basinger named her daughter that.

I had the same issue as you do with finding a unique baby name, I wanted something different but not weird. I did not accomplish different. I thought I did but didn't. i have four kids, two of each. Mine are; Jenna Elizabeth, Ethan John, Elijah Riley and Hayden Emmaliegh. My suggestion is to find a name you like and give it your own spine like a little different spelling or combining two that you like.

My husband and I are both into the unique baby names. We like to switch up the spellings of the names, and we also liked some boy names for girls. We named our first son CeJae (C.J.) and if he would of been a girl the name would of been Calixta James. I know it's silly, but I really think the model that is named James King is gorgeous and my husbands middle name is James so James as a middle name just worked weather a boy or a girl.
