I did have a theme picked out of Rubber Duckies, however that is the theme of another shower for the expectant mom, so I want to give her a different theme. All Ideas are welcome. With the guest list we have the crazzier the ideas the better.

What about a mad hatters tea party for the baby shower. Everyone can come in a "boy" hat to make the day colorful. You could have all sorts of snacks that you would have at a tea party. Another idea I have is to spend the day with the dads, do what men do. Have a barbecue, outside, play games/sport games that men would play.

i think the zoo themes and the circus themes are the cutest. i helped plan a circus theme shower once that was soooh cute. we had a popcorn popper going (we rented it). we had animal crackers in little baggies for everyone and of course balloons galore! You can also use stuffed animals of horses, zebras, lions, etc. You can decorate the cake table like a tent (not sure how but I believe there are some ideas onlin). Oh, and bowls of peanuts are great because afterall, every circus has to have peanuts! You can buy the actual circus peanuts at walmart. Here's a good link: http://www.parents.com/baby/shower/theme... I personally think this is so different and super cute for a boy shower and very fun for the guests as well!

what about a baby sized baby shower? You could do tiny food (sandwiches, mini pizzas, little cakes, mimi M&M's, baby carrots...anything in miniature). You could have games involving tiny things like tiny plastic babies (you can get at a craft store) hidden around and whoever finds the most gets a prize or you can adapt any of the regular shower games to include tiny items. For favors you could get small baby bottles and fill them with tiny candies.

This isn't a theme, but a great game. Buy a bunch of pacifiers and hang them on ribbon so it's like a necklace. Give one to each guest to wear and pick 5 buzz words like, baby, sleep, boy, girl, etc. If someone says one of the buzzwords, the person who caught them saying it gets to steal their necklace. The person with the most paci necklaces at the end wins a prize and then the expectant mom gets to keep all the pacis, of course. It was done at my shower and was a lot of fun.

Just had a baby shower for my daughter and went with jungle animal theme! Was a big hit. Lots of sites out there to get things from. BigdotofHappiness.com, partypail.com, and big zoo.com are my favorites. Did a diaper cake with small stuffed animals and made a jungle themed cake. She is having a girl but doesn't really like pink, so this was a good choice. Used a lot of green and browns. Was alot of fun. Hope this helps. Hope Estey

My daughters thought the baby animals were cute so we went with a baby animal theme. It works well for girls or boys and if you know what the sex is you can taylor it more towards those colors.

If the baby is a boy, "Baby's, Bottles, Booties, and More" to keep the B Theme for boy. Make the colors Green, Yellow, and Blue, using Rubber Duckies, Bubbles and Frogs. If you would like, and can send you the them pattern, etc.

What is the mom to be planning to decorate her nursery with?? I did classic winnie the pooh for my son and my mom did the same theme for my shower...
Another cool idea - have a non alcoholic cocktail party... I also have this great website - my two favs are froggy theme and sweet pea theme (farm animals are a lot of fun to incorperate too)

Even though it's a boy, a tea party for a baby shower is always a hit. You can serve several different teas and let them choose which tea they want by just having the tea packets set aside and serving them the hot water. And little tea cakes and sandwiches, etc,. Mint, Lavender and Chamomile teas would be great to help the mom to be relax.
