come on, you admitted you smoke a pack a day and hubby smokes 2 packs. Be a grown up and buy a stroller before cigs. you find money for that, find money for your children.i would never let my child need something and go buy myself something instead!! sorry that's selfish. next time you open a pack of cigs realize that is the reason you can't leave the house.

There is no bus here... I live in the country. And actually 15 dollars is very difficult to come by.

I understand it's cold but brave the winter. dress everyone warm go jump on the bus. Okay so you don't have a stroller, you can't find $15 to get an umbrella stroller? If the kids are old enough let them walk. I'm sure they need out of the house also.Maybe once a week i catch the bus to the mall in the winter and let my 2 year old walk and keep the 9 month old in a stroller carseat combo thing. Getting on and off the bus with a stroller, a car seat and a 2 year old is rough alone, but it gets me outside. almost every other day me and the 2 year old go outside and play while the 9 month old naps. i put on the monitor and go play in the snow. Yes, it's cold here too. Today is -4Fwith wind chill. We aren't going out today! Dress in layers. You only need to be out there 15-20 minutes to feel somewhat better,and maybe appreciate being inside again :-P

Cecilia- I appreciated everyone's suggestions...I use to go out with a stroller when I lived in town. But now we live in the middle of no where. And as of now it is bitter cold outside. Also I no longer have a stroller.

Jodi- The reason is because we only have one vehicle (barely that) and my husband uses that for work- 12 hours a day- six days a week.

I have to agree, grab a stroller and go for a walk. I have 5 kids and i'm out of the house all the time with them. I don't have grandparents in the area (or even family). Shoot on black friday i went to the mall. didn't buy a thing. not one. Not even lunch ( we packed lunches) i did pay for the girls to go on the carousel though..So it cost me a whole $2 to go out because i was feeling trapped in the house.

Why can't you go out of the house with your children? I don't understand why you have to wait for a babysitter for that.

When I say "go out" I mean leave the house. Not go on a date or hang out with friends. I mean go to the store or some other errand. I mean I spend less then 4 hours a month physically OUT of the house.
