I had never used any bc when we tried to conceive our first, we were young and healthy and it took over a year! It doesn't usually happen the first time, it usually takes a while! Good luck! If you are super impatient (like me) and need to do something actively (like me) you can try charting. It helped me feel more in control and aware.

Dude, settle down...seriously. You would have had 1 normal ovulation cycle....depending on the BC. Sometimes it is recommended to wait to try for 3 months after you are off of it. Just keep having sex, and enjoy it. You are brand new at trying, and it takes time. The more you stress about it, the longer it will take.

I'd give it at least six months before you start worrying about charting your facility. Just have fun and have lots of it. See where it goes. Like others have said, it can take some time for things to even out after going off the pill. My advice would be to have more sex and make sure that it's fun. Fun sex is statistically proven to make more babies than serious sex ;-)

yeah, you chart when you start your period (first bloody day, or first dropped temp) when you're ovulating and your luteal phase. Check out Taking Charge of Your Fertility- there's a book, you can probably get it at your library, or they have a website too, but there are lots of other sites that can help you chart your cervical muchous, position, firmness, basal body temp, etc. It's a little research but once I started I couldn't stop- I love it, I do it even when I'm not trying or pregnant.
