I have two boys 12 and 9. I am about to start trying for my third child but everything has seemed to change. I want to be prepared, where should I start with my baby planning?

My two boys father past away over two years ago. I have a wonderful boyfriend and we have been together almost two years. I do not plan on getting married, but I also cannot do to survivor benefits that my boys and I receive. I want to have two more children before I turn 35 and I am 31 now. I am saving money so I will be prepared for diapers and formula and things like that. I am not sure if I should buy a crib my other boys never used one. I want to join any programs that will help us save money and maybe find some good deals on baby stuff. I just kinda feel out of the loop and would like get info on what I should be prepared for.

I personally think  that a crib is a waste of time. I have a crib that my six month old grandson has never slept in. We have tried several times to get him to sleep in it no such luck. If you are not going to breast feed try applying for the wic program once you are pregnant. Use craiglist sometimes people are giving away clothes on craiglist. Use the posting on facebook also, you will be surprise of babystuff that people wants to give away. Also try the moms programs where they gives you items for the baby that you do not have. My sister is pregnant and she is in this program. Contact me if you need more information about the program. Depending on if you are in Michigan

The biggest thing is to a) stop smoking, doing drugs, drinking alchohol b) take a pre-natal vitamin with Folic acid. Start now. folic acid is proven to help with certain birth defects. c) Talk to your doctor about your plans before you get pregnant. A great place to get used items in good condition is www.craigslist.com. It is a localized buying and selling website that is great, just be careful to see everything before you buy. Most transactions are made in cash. A great way to save money is to breastfeed, on top of many other amazing benefits. Good Luck!
