HELP! I am not pregnant (I've taken two test) I'm not gaining weight or overweight (I've been between 115-120 since I lost the baby weight two years ago, but my stomach is growing huge! My clothes have started to get uncomfortable and this evening when I was giving my daughter a bath I saw my silhouette in the mirror and was like "What the hell!?" It looked like I was 6 months pregnant but I'm a petite person and I've weighed myself... no weight gain!

About two weeks ago I started going back to work (my daughter is two and a half). She seems to be adjusting well to preschool, but I've felt stomach problems ever since going from being a stay-at-home mom to a working mom. I knew I would need less calories going to a desk job, so I tried to compensate for that by eating less, and making sure my "snacks" were low calorie and healthy (carrot sticks, grapes, apple slices) versus anything fatty or high calorie.

I feel like I've been bloated and uncomfortable ever since I started working this desk job! What do I do? I took two different pregnancy tests my first week because I haven't felt this kind of indigestion or seen this kind of bloating since I was pregnant. HELP! Please help! I'm accepting any and all advice. I would post photos if I could, but literally a month ago I could wear anything, long skin tight maxi dress, tank tops, fitted everything. Now, even though I haven't gained any weight, I feel like I can't wear anything and I feel uncomfortable all the time. I've also tried to up my activity level when I'm not working, taking my daughter to the pool and swimming or going on walks as much as I can even though I'm exhausted after work.

Thanks in advance for your help!

I'd go to the doctor. Also sitting a desk all day is not good for you back or you stomach. Pay attention to how you sit. Sit up straight try holding your stomach in as much as you can't to build up your muscels in you ab section. Cut down on sodium and carbohydrates to 40 grams or fewer a day. I get a bloated stomach too. A lot of vegies make you bloat too and give you gas. Pick up a Dr Atkins book you can get them at the trift store or book store depending on how much you want to spend. The book tells you all about food and allergies and so on I learned a lot from it. In fact I lost 35 lbs. and it was easy. My stomach rarely bloats anymore and feel so healthy. I haven't had a cold or flue in a years time.

I'm thinking it has to be related to the transition of going from being an active stay at home mom to sitting at a desk and computer. I'm wondering if anyone knows any foods that are good for clearing out your system. I literally feel like when I eat (even if it's very little, like a breakfast bar and some grapes) it just sits there in my stomach until I get off work. You know what I mean?

Have you gone to the doctor? That's the first thing I would do. It could be IBS-irritable bowel syndrome, an ulcer or a plethora of other things.
