Sex is what made my daughter come 2 weeks early. It was Father's day and we did it in the morning and I had inconsistent contractions all day... I was totally ready for her to come so we did it again in the evening and I was calling the midwife by 10PM.
Good Luck:)

Sex. there's something in the semen that stimulates something or another and get the process moving along. Anyway, that's what my doctor told me!

Tomorrow will be my sons 3 week birthday and he was also two weeks late. I tried everything mentioned on here, walking, sex, hot food, soaking my feet in hot water with cheyenne pepper in it, raspberry leaf tea, and what ended up working for me was Blue Cohosh. Its a liquid tincture completely natural that induces labor. I drank one dropper full around 3pm on Wednesday and by 2:40AM I went into labor and he was born 3 hours later. Also, I drank a strong mix of the red raspberry leaf tea (1oz. of tea to 2 cups of really hot water) and after about 10 minutes my contractions were easy and he came out very quickly! I hope something helps you and that your staying comfortable! Congrats on your second baby!

There's now way to know what really helped and what was just coincidence. I did the spicy foods, walking, sex, rocking in a rocking chair, bouncing on a yoga ball...and my water broke when I went to bed that night. I don't necessarily believe that any one thing (or even a combination) made it happen, the only thing I know is that I was exhausted from the exertion and I never got to go to bed! I think my labor would have gone much smoother if I had just rested and let things happen on their own!

Well if you're able and everything is okay. I say sex. I know that's how you got into this whole thing but sex does help bring on contractions and dialation. good luck

Schedule and induction! The fear of going from zero to FULL ON LABOUR will scare the baby out of you. It worked for my friend and me! The night before we were both scheduled to be induced the contractions started LMAO!
Unless medically indicated, induction is the fastest way to an unneeded c-section. Please avoid this if at all possible.

Please don't wait too long to see a doctor- you don't want to be too overdue because that can cause problems for baby. My 5th child was 10 days overdue- who would have thought- and the last week I took afternoon trips to the hospital while they tried to naturally induce labor by nipple stimulation while watching baby with a monitor. after 10 days I was induced with pitosin and gave birth to a healthy 8 1/2 lb girl. Have a happy and healthy delivery!
Purely anecdotal but my mother gave birth to me 18 days past her Estimated Due Date and I'm just fine. :)

HI Charlotte, I know how frustraiting this may be what you can do as everybody says have sex the semen loosens up the cervix and makes it easier for you to contract. that or ciro syrup helps but it tastes nasty just to let you know. good luck hun wish you the best

As odd as it sounds but sexual intercourse will cause your uterus to start contracting from the orgasim. Sorry if it seemed to be a little graphic.

Having sex/stimulation increases a hormone that promotes contractions. I read that somewhere when I was overdue. The hormone is oxitocin i think, which is very similiar to pitocin given in the hospital for inducing labor.

I was late with my second child and I literally walked around the inside of my house for 2 hours. It was raining outside so I walked inside. Or you could have your feet and hands rubbed. My husband did that and I had contractions that were 45 minutes apart. Or as a mid-wife told me get a sperm deposit. LOL!!!

Walking, taking a warm bath or shower and sex helps to get things going. I have had three babies and with my second one I went to the hospital early and the doctor had me walking up and down the halls and taking a shower !! Good Luck!! Just remember that this is one time you do want to "rock the boat" :)
