Hi Erinn,

Just thought i might add, that you dont have to go with traditional presents. For my first anniversary i got a beautiful gold watch, being clocks for traditional. For our 5th anniversay just this year it was wood and we got the dresser that matched our bedroom set, (we were saving up for awhile) we will look at it as something special. It really doesn't matter what you get as a present. Just being together and knowing you still appreciate each other. I agree with Marina that a beautiful dinner is always romantic. Good Luck

Hi Erinn
I never went with the traditional anniversary gift because I didn't want to wait till I am in my 60's or 70's to get the really nice gifts.
For our first I got my first year ring to match my wedding band set. My second my husband was away on course and he brought me back a snow globe of the Phantom of the opera because it was and still is my favorite opera show. Our third he bought me tickets to Garth Brooks concert.
But anyways what I am trying to say it doesn't matter how much you spend or what you do together as long as you do it together and it something that is meaning full to both of you.
My husband is a very romantic person so he set up a beautiful dinner for the two of us he made all by him self and made sure the kids were at a friends. Our table had linen on it with little hearts sparkles and one single rose and our favorite drinks.
I think that was the best day of my life and we have been married now for 25 years.

three years is leather for traditional and glass or crystal for contemporary. if you have babysitters i always think a night away is a great and romantic. If you cant afford that a nice quiet restuarant. i think when you have kids, time to yourselves is priceless. I hope your husband is thinking of something too. its always up to the women. Good Luck.... if you have heaps of money. Hot air ballooning is meant to be fantastic.
