We are in need of an extra wide gate that extends up to 64 inches. It needs a door (as we are tripping going over the one we are using now) and we want it to be pressure mounted. I was looking online but I had a hard time understanding which ones came with extensions etc. We also didn't want to spend our entire life savings ($200) but we understand we might have to to keep us safe. Do you have any recommendations for brands that you like? We are in the States so no shipping overseas either. Thanks!

Try looking at magazines under pet gates. I found some big gates in a magazine I got from drsmithfoster.com.

We got a great gate at Babiesrus. It expands and fits across our livingroom. It even works on angles. I have attached a link, and they are offering a free stroler w/ purchase. http://www.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp...

Babies R Us is the place to go. We have twins and lots of staircases with strange openings and one with a very wide opening and this is where we got our gates. Our extra wide gate cost us around $75 and no extension was needed.... if you are putting it on top of a staircase, you may need to bolt it and patch the wall later... pressure mounted can be pushed down a flight of stairs with enough force!

Check Babies R Us, we had a 12' opening that we just had to gate off for my 10 month old. It is soft mesh material, it was about $100 with no extentions needed. If you can't find it on there let me know and I will get you the link :) Good luck!
