From the time I gave birth, my baby was very gassy and cried a lot..I feel like I'm going insane..i tried putting him to a swing, car seat, strollers, carry him, and drive him around and nothing seems to work..he likes to eat every one to two hrs..he would only sleep a max of 3hrs, but mostly 1-2hrs and he would wake again..it's hard to put him to sleep..I don't think he is getting enough sleep for a newborn..my husband and I are so exhausted..he is our first baby and we love him so much..his already seen his pediatrician twice and they said nothing was wrong with him...I made an appointment again for Tom because my baby needs help..I just want him to be a happy baby...a piece of advice would really help..thanks

Hmmmm....it could even be the bottles you are using. have you tried the Dr. Browns? They are excellent in reducing the amount of air they get in their tummies.

When he gets asleep, does he sleep in your harms ?? When does he seem to sleep longer, during the day or during the night?

My sister in law just found the most wonderful stuff called Bio-gaia. You get it from the pharmacist but it is not prescription. Her lactation lady recommended it to her but it's good for all babies. Google it and see if it might help. :)

Hey there......When my son was little I used the Mylicon but it never seemed to help so I switched to using the mommy's bliss gripe water. It is a natural liquid that has something in it to help relax the babies tummy so they have an easier time passing the gas. He did so much better on that and once we would get a good burp he would go to sleep. I breastfed so didnt have too many problems as I learned what to eat and what not to eat early on, but even if he would fall asleep before burping I would still keep patting and I would start at his bottom and pat all the way up his back, then after a few times of this I would rub his back from bottom up and that always seemed to do the trick. Best of Luck to you and your lil guy. Hope he gets relief soon :)

My new born is gassy also. I just used gripe water and after I breast feed him I make sure he burps; sometimes he falls asleep before I get to burp him- but when that happens he wakes up in about 10 min. Thats when I will attempt to get the burp out of him. I know it can be frustrating. Hang in there!

I've been giving mylicon drops too. Today I decided to buy similac soy formula and gave it twice already..i feel like im overfeeding my LO, he is constantly hungry..my LO is awake since this morning and fuzzy...I'm always having a hard time putting him to sleep...I have my mom helping me right now..I feel so exhausted..my husband and I was thinking on sending my LO to ER, because we just need an answer, but maybe I'll just wait Tom since visit his pediatrician..I really hope things will get better..

Hi,
We used the mylacon drops and switched my son to soy formula and after he ate we would put him in a bouncy seat, car seat or swing,so he was at a angle.
When he would scream we would rub his belly or push his bent legs up toward his belly.
If he is stressing you out you can always put him down in a safe place and get away from him for a few, screaming won't hurt him...lots of parents feel like they are mean if they let their baby cry,but he will be fine for 10min or so if you need a min to gather your thoughts.
I know it seems distressing but it will pass in time...don't trip :)

I don't know where you live but where I live they have Mylicon. That saved my life with my baby. Also make you you burp very WELL. She may have acid reflux, or just be very gassy.
