I am looking for a kid friendly location for my sons first birthday. I have found a couple of places but can only have up to 20 people. I am looking to accomadate in the ball park of 50 (not including 17 smaller children). My home is not large enough to have this many people let alone 17 children running around. If anyone can help me out I would really appreciate it.

When my daughter turned one I had 5 people over for her birthday. Your son isn't going to remember this and with that many people there, he will likely become very overwhelmed and cranky. He should be able to have fun at his own birthday party. A lot of people throw a small shindig for the baby, then drop him off with a sitter and go party it up with their adult friends in celebration of the birthday later in the evening.

At age 1, do you really need to have 67 people? Personally, I think it's a little over the top for a party he won't even remember. Bridgette has given good advice. Does your son handle noisy crowds well? Lots of people, especially 17 kids running around, can be overwhelming to even the most well adjusted baby. That's my 2 cents. :-)
I'd go for a park or other informal setting where the kids can run around and not get into too much trouble. Restaurants, kids zones, etc. are too chaotic and hard to keep an eye on the kids.

If its warm try outside that way it won't be so many running in and out the house. A park? If it's cooler, try a fast food resturant. Remember, they are young and it really doesnt mean much to them cause they don't understand. Reality is we care more than they do so keep it simple. To much can overwhelm them. Just make it happy!!!
