While the Shettles method says the time of intercourse is most important, Dr. Shettles also recommends couples make love in the missionary position to deposit sperm closer to the entrance of the of vagina. In addition, he cautions against women having an orgasm during sex because he believes this makes the vaginal environment too alkaline

yes there is a certain time when to have a girl based on the theory believe me ive done it lol that sperm containing Y chromosomes move faster than X chromosome bearing sperm, the Shettles method of gender selection recommends couples wondering how to conceive a girl have sex every day from the end of the woman’s period until approximately three days before u should wind up with a girl

I suppose there are a thousand old wives tales out there that get you to do the strangest things. My fiance has two young boys from a previous marriage, and we have our first on the way (which is a little girl)... One of the old wives tales that 'seemed' to work for us was that, when he conceived his two boys, he was playing professional soccer.. These days he does NO physical activities.. Apparently when men are more active, their chances of conceiving a boy are high... vice versa... But as I said, its just an old wives tale, there is really only 50/50 chance of it being a girl.. I think the most important thing is that the baby is healthy, it doesn't really matter what sex it is...
